Stage 4 front got same discs. And rear kit got left and right discs.
+1 to this.

Finally ordered the sport front kit over the weekend now that they noted it comes with the DBA rotors. I can't drop the coin on the rear kit right now but I'd like to pick it up down the road.

Simon told me by email that it's normal and makes no functional difference.

If one is sweeping inward, and another outward, there is a functional difference, although it may not be realized for everyone.

I mean, Brembo, AP, and the OEMs must all have a reason if slots are symmetrical left/right, right? Nobody *wants* to spend more money on tooling.

Yes, I don't like that very much.

I am not sure if you where following Phil's thread and the ABS/icemode/bias issues he had with the STi Brembo and OEM setup he was running. Once we installed our STage II rears, I know that even in the slower braking zones we had no ABS engagement issues.

Due to tire setup, power, and downforce variations, there is going to be a lot of variation in the "ideal" setup. We will work with you guys to get to the ideal setup, even if it means swapping calipers -- we will do all this for minimal cost.

For a light car like the BRZ, these rotors are massive at 13x1.25" (approx. same as Essex endurance kit). They are directionally cooled and have a wide gap for excellent cooling. They are exactly the same rotors as used on NASCAR Winston Cup and ARCA cars which are significantly more powerful and about 800lbs heavier than a BRZ... so I am 110% confidant they will hold up to a 30min HPDE session.

Rafi
In this post, they are supposed to be directional. I don't get it. Is my set faulty ?

Just to be perfectly clear.
Am I supposed to use right side rotor on both side of the car ?

So. It looks like a stupid plain rotor pic attached itself to my email for some reason and leads Simon to a false answer.

I do have 2 right side rotors. RR is sending me 2 left side with a discount.

I'll miss a track day, but that's a happy ending anyway

Previously in this thread I saw the graphic below, and quite a few comments about shifting bias to the rear. I still haven't seen all of the actual numbers however. Can you please post your piston sizing and disc diameter/effective radius for each of your kits? Thanks!

For the Sport Performance Kit rears, pad cost is only about $55 for Wilwood BP10's, and $70 for BP20's. These pads (pad configuration "7912") is also made by others, like Porterfield, EBC, etc...

Actually rotors are Stoptech premium high carbon rotors, that are slotted to match the rear DBA rotors we use on our new Sport performance kit.
