Seat cover prices

86Worx has the Sard seats for $549.99, and also has Damd, but priced at $699.99! They appear to be be identical except for the Sard lettering, which I would rather not have. That price difference doesn't seem to make sense. Another Canadian company, FT86 Motorsports lists black Damd for what should be $570.821 U.S if my conversion chart is right. That would be with free shipping if their website can be.believed. 86Worx says usually ships in 5-10 days, FT86 says within 15 days.

I get a feeling the ones from FT86 are currently in Japan. I'm familiar with 86Worx but haven't had any dealings with FT86 Motorsports.

2 weeks is a general estimate. It's more like a few months, especially now. Recommend you contact them via facebook messenger ahead of time and ask about ETA. I bought my DAMD seat covers from blackhawkjapan on ebay. That was the best price around and I asked them to declare a value of $50 or something so I didn't get hit with duties. All in all it was about $600 CAD shipped, which is phenomenal for the quality you get.

No stroke . Here's more pictures. I like the cloth seats but from time to time I like to change things up. Gives it a premium look. I don't have it strapped down or the rears installed atm but you can see the fitment is pretty good. It's unbranded so even better for me and keeps my seats protected.

The fit is actually outstanding in the pictures.
If I was in the market that would be a first choice.

FT86 Motorsports is out, I fear. They only sell in CAD and I'm not sure how to do that. They also admit there were supply problems with that item even before covid. 86worx says Damd and Sard are different companies though they sure look alike. They say Sard sells more which may account for the price difference. I'm reluctant to order and wait weeks or months since my seats are taking a beating right at the torn part and it will start to cut into the leather soon. I may get a set of real cheapies while the good ones are on order. The other option is to have the torn original vinyl replaced for about $475 since the rest of the seats are good.

I'm going to have my local upholsterer fix my seats. 86Worx says the Sard Racing seat covers will ship from 5-10 business days, but that's apparently from Japan. They have not replied to three emails asking when I could actually expect to get them.

I got lucky and scored a set of Sard covers from Footwork Autosport and commend them for a fine deal and excellent customer service. They had been on a demo car but they agreed to remove them and sell to me. They're still like brand new. I got them in under a week and for less then $400 delivered. Excellent company to deal with.

Now if I can just figure out what the instructions in Japanese mean.

Heated seats complicate Sard seat installation a bit. I have a monogram edition with those seats. Some wiring runs from the cushion to the backrest, making it hard to line up the Velcro designed to tighten the backrest. There's a cutout on the side with the airbag wire but none for the heat wiring. I didn't want to cut the seat material in case I might want to sell them sometime. They aren't quite as tight as they could be but they look and feel fine and I think I can tighten them periodically with a little use. They do dress up the interior for sure.
