Finally installed my Speedfactory catted header, TRD exhaust, and flashed the OFT stage 2 tune onto my '13. Been sitting on this for a year or more. Between not having time/place to do the work, I also really enjoyed the car stock, did not want to mess with a good thing I suppose.

Having done the change, I'm very happy, the sound from the header is much better, nice burble sounds. The TRD is probably just right for weekend driving. If this were a DD, I'd want to go back to stock exhaust.

With the tune the power is better out of corners, but it's not life changing. Obviously after 9 years none of this is new info, but it does make the car better overall. I personally can't see any reason it needs more power than this on public roads. Might try another track day this year but my last one just showed I just need more skill, then tires and camber, not power.

Still the best car I can imagine for myself. Everything I want.

Got rid of the notorious TRD exhaust drone Replaced the original resonator with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator (part # 1140 for the 2.25" inlet/outlet).

Before doing that, I installed a Fujitsubo dual-resonated front-pipe. There wasn't any noticeable change in drone/volume compared to the stock front-pipe, but the butt dyno certainly felt some gains and it's few pounds lighter (forgot to weigh it, doh).

Over-pipe and header are stock.

New 4" tips on the OEM catback. Need minor fine tuning but overall look is there.

New Tires

On my way to get new tires, and for fun I'm testing out this this blind spot gimmick. So far I like it but I think I'm going to swap it for a diferent shape. Here's a couple snaps for the fans. Enjoy! 0_orz

I got 35k 6yrs on the prius tires with enough thread to last the rest of the y ear but the sidewalls didn't look too healthy. I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (PS4S). Loving it until in lasts.

What did you use for tips? I don't really mind the stock exhaust so much but the tips sit so far back it looks silly.

I don't know about shipping to Canada, but Killer B makes a tip extender.

This was yesterday, but I brought it home. First drive in 2 years or something like that. Felt like every piece of the car was coming off because I'm not used to the rigidity of the car and grippy wide tires. Vermont took its toll on the crash bar because I was too lazy to paint or powdercoat.

No it's not finished, still have a lot of break in to do. But it lives!

You can buy small extension pieces that help mount the tips a bit further back. I can’t recall what the brand was, but it was mentioned on this forum at some point.

Thanks. Looked it up and with exchange, shipping and probably duty would be looking at about $200 for a pair of extenders. I will live with the silly look for that much!

I grabbed these, they were $72 shipped. There are some double and single wall options as well for the same price.

Ya I may just swing by an exhaust shop and see what they can do. I doubt that it is a highly specialized part.

That is more what I would want to pay. No problem with getting them for Aliexpress? I have heard horror stories so have never bought there.

I've bought quite a bit off their the last two years. Little to zero issues. Like eBay you sometimes need to dig for stuff. Everything takes a month to arrive but I can't complain for the cost.

The tips I recieved were larger diameter than the tailpipe. I didn't measure my self, the forums said they were 2.25"(57mm). Either the tailpipe is more like 54mm or the tips of received were 60mm. Need to pull them off and properly measure and line everything up how I want.
