Thats a really long sentance.
Yeah id take those ST's so you can save your cash for the turbo. If you dont like how the ST ride, then get some Bilstein B14's. Dont automatically jump to BC racing or Tein basis. There are comparable options with much better quality behind them.

For under 1k you are only going to get a drop, nothing that will perform better than OEM. Better off saving the money and just doing springs for now and saving money for a real damper setup.

ST or Parts Shop MAX (Pro coilover...they have a good price on LCAs too). Turn In Concepts was talking about a coilover they carry that's in the lower price bracket as well, I just don't recall the name. Some acronym, most likely.

are you gonna be installing them yourself? and doing alignment yourself?
that would factor into your cost please don't bother with bottom of the barrel stuff, you'll only live to regret it or worse, lie to yourself and think you're actually on a good setup.

Curious why your purchase has to be in next 2 days and you need help deciding.
Don't put deadlines on purchase times. Put more time into the decision making process and getting help from others.

Or of I should just get springs for the mean while and my friend would be installing it for 75$

"not sure" are not words you want to use when describing changing the thing that keeps your wheels attached to your car and is generally responsible for comfort and control of your vehicle.

I originally started with Tarmac 0's which were decent. I learned my lesson about quality coilovers when I spent the money on the V3's. 0 regrets and love the ride.
Anthony, I don't understand how you are going turbo on your car when you lowball every thread in the for sale section. Just stating from what I have seen.... |

Are coilovers even worth it for a DD that isn't going to get tracked? I want a comfortable drop and aggressive stance. I was looking at tein flex or the Cusco spec zero. But like I said, I didn't know if those choices would be wasted on a non tracked car.

It depends on what you mean by comfortable and aggressive. If you're looking to drop around an inch, springs are fine. Swift, RCE, Eibach, etc... make springs for that. If you need moar low, then coils and lower geometry LCAs are the way to go. If you need to be able to park it on the ground for shows and whatnot, but still drive effectively, then air ride is the way to go.

there is no such thing as a comfortable drop that is aggressive any sort of drop means decreasing the damper's travel, forcing it to work harder, and increasing harshness. it may feel alright over smooth roads, but not when you start driving on bad pavement. comfort comes first and foremost from travel, the more space a spring has to compress before it doesn't, the more comfortable it will be, because when a wheel hits an irregularity in the road, it has to move to absorb it. If it has no where to move, it will move the chassis, and that's where your ass comes in. dropping the car decreases that travel, so more of the shock will go through the chassis and into your ass that's just the way things are. so if you want lower and retain comfort, you need to purchase a setup where you get increased damper travel while going lower.

So would either of the two coilovers I was thinking about fit the bill?
