Verus makes a ECU and fuel rail bracket cover that saves 5 pounds. Probably more than a cf hood would at 1/8th the price

My car's steering wheel actuator is just under 150 pounds, but if I did some weight reduction of anywhere near 100 pounds, it would no longer be functional. I can however see some that may be able to cut down that much weight, but i have a hard time imagining one of that size inside a twin

You'd probably only see weight savings with dry carbon fiber hoods, such as the one from Amuse... but that costs $5k. Seibon has one too for close to $2k. Weight savings is roughly 5lbs from stock.

Wet carbon trunks generally do save more weight relative to a wet carbon hood... which like many others have stated weigh more.
