Again, read. I didn't do 100 to purposely test to see if it would blow. I said I did 100mph on it, not to test if it was ok.

The only problem is, youll only know you needed to replace the tire AFTER something goes wrong, I'd just replace it now.

It's only cosmetic and the OEMs are going to be my winter wheels anyway.

Like I said, I took it to a tire shop and the dealership. Both people took a good look and said the damage was strictly cosmetic with no loss to the actual sidewall integrity. That being said, I'm getting some Drag DR-34's and putting Hankook V12s on them. The OEMs are going to be my winter wheel.

The new summer rims. Drag DR-34s in 17x7.5 with a 45mm offset. Plan on putting a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evos in 225/45R17.

When I get winter tires put on the OEM rim, because the OEMs will be the winter rim, I'll probably take it into a tire shop and trade all 4 Michelins in.

I have had a similar situation happen to me a few weeks ago during a rain storm at night. Tire was gashed in the same area as well. No cords or leaks. I want to bring this to an autocross event before the season is over but I'm not sure if it will be safe or not.
