regardless I don't think that angled turbo looks good, the angle is just enough to look like a
manufacturing mistake and I don't think it would be that hard to make it parallel to the ground.
I'd prefer it at that angle, as it would make the build cost cheaper, and make the system more efficient.

hmm you may be right, but I can't tell 100%. If that is a water hose, it doesn't look to be insulated in any way, which would mean it'll be prone to early failure in the future from the heat from some of hte other parts around it, such as the exhaust and turbo.

I think I'm more a fan of the low-mounted turbo setups for heat, plumbing, and weight distribution reasons. I'm not planning on turbo'ing anyway, but that's my useless $.02 internet cents.

To the people freaking out about it only being oil cooled you need to look at Preciscions line up. You actually can't buy a water cooled Turbo anymore more really
Comp Turbo now makes and oil-less Turbo too.

That's a braided teflon oil feed hose, it wont have any issues with heat.

For real? If so then the days of coked up shafts/seals will soon be returning to turbochargers.

Yes, definitely a Precision turbo. To my knowledge Precision does not make a water cooled CHRA. Garrett, still makes water cooled CHRAs.

this isn't constructive at all, and hawaiian actually does have a point. A lot of the coking problems in turbos can be solved nowadays with the proper technology though. One of my favorite reads is a book my wife actually bought me a few years ago, which is the turbocharging handbook. It's definately a great read for anyone new to the world of FI, as it actually compares superchargers also. You can still order the book from here I believe:

http://www.qbookshop.com/products/14...-Handbook.html

they have it for 30% off atm. I'd suggest reading this before trying to invalidate any comments

It will raise the engine bay temperature, there are ways to consolidate and control the temperature. Turbo blankets, ceramic coatings, and heat shields or wraps. It's difficult to tell from the pictures but it may also be in an area that gets a decent amount of airflow.
