Spotted a couple of 86’s around Riverbend Square while in Edmonton for a couple of weeks this past month. They were brave souls to be out and about if they were lowered as the ice ruts on my brother’s street in that area were a challenge for his SUV. I’m sure l wouldn’t have lost my front lip and I’m running at stock height.

congrats on the purchase and welcome. highly advise a header to remove your torque dip and add significant better drive feel and extra hp.

next one after that would be a open flash tablet so you could truly maximize the gains from the header with an OTS tune.

i gained alot of extra grins from those two adds before i jumped full into a turbo kit, and then the adds continued from there lol.

although the latest adds were forced upon me made for a bit of an adventure as you can see two pages back in this thread with the throwout bearing burning up which pushed me to do a lightened flywheel and stage 1 clutch with verus clutch fork. figured i'd build back stronger rather than throw the cash to a shop.

have had additional issues with coil packs which typically go at 100k km mark, i'm working on a warranty issue with ignition projects in the interim the cheapy spectra coil pack from rock auto seems to be holding up.

take care and have fun as spring comes with dry roads. can't wait to get my summer 245 falken's back on and sit a little lower and wider to put the turbo power back on the ground!

also vented the hood this last summer to get the engine bay temps down and hopefully keep coils alive.

I wish I could find a used header locally. Getting close to punching my cat and buying OFT before the first track day in a month.

Just track on the stock header, it's a lot of fun! Plus with a momentum car you're rarely under 4500 RPMs on track.

That’s already what I’ve been doing, had 6-7 track days last year at Castrol as well as Strawberry Creek and our first day at Rocky Mountain Motorsports is scheduled for April 8th this year. Last year my car was full weight stock powertrain, this year I’m removing weight and ideally adding a header and tune. The FRS lot more fun and a lot more affordable to run than my C5Z was.

i'd keep on the quest for changing the header as there's nothing worse than that torque dip to ruin the thrill of some good laps.

the stage 2 tune on that header to boot would do wonders for sure.

Definitely notice the lack of torque coming from a cammed and geared LS…
