Recently reconnected with my childhood best friend. He has three kids.

My fiancée doesn’t even trust me to do laundry.

Hey, I raised 3 kids and they turned out fine, despite MomHawk not letting me help with laundry in 30+ years.

The secret is to turn her things pink the first time you help with no visible means of having made it happen. No idea how I managed to do it, I credit divine intervention.

I don't even know how to use our new washer and dryer. Mrs. Ho tells me they work great.

Figured out my parasitic power drain on our Suburban, it is a bad instrument cluster.

It's not going to sleep after the car is turned off. The reason the problem disappeared for a while is if you pull the fuse or unplug the battery the cluster shuts off until you start the car. The last time I charged the battery I hooked it directly back up and didn't drive the car for a week, so everything was good. As soon as I drove it again, the battery drained in 3 days.

Charged the battery, drove the car a while, then let it sit for 4 hours with the hood unlatched so I didn't have to open the car door. Sure enough, all circuits were zero power draw except the instrument cluster circuit. Pulled the fuse, put it back, zero power draw.

Apparently this is a common issue with GM trucks from 2002-2006.

Reconditioned cluster on order, should take less than 15 minutes to replace (pull off a trim piece, 4 bolts, one cable bundle).

A rebuilt one is $170 with a $300 core charge. That includes programming the VIN and the Odometer which, while digital, is stored in the cluster.

Disney and Universal from Thursday until Tuesday and then took the rest of the week through Thanksgiving off. it was great.

highlight of the trip was a semi-private(2 other people) tour through the animal preserve at Animal Kingdom. we got super close to the animals, got to talk with one of the keepers and had all we could eat tapas with booze. it was fantastic! I'll upload pics later. 2 looked so good that I might frame them.
