Opie, you need to shop at this dealership. Going over that first curb out of the parking lot the day you pick it up is always treacherous.

When the pictures first leaked out before the actual reveal, I really disliked the center stack, but video made me ok with it. Overall it's a nice evolution of the previous generation BRZ. I am probably going to hold out until they offer up a Performance Package or Ts version. Hopefully that comes before it's already 4 years old haha.

I'd love to test drive one at altitude (9,000-11,000ft) to see if the new motor makes enough power but the Summit County, CO Subaru dealer never stocks the BRZ. I get all the reasons to not go turbo but past experience has been that at altitude 4 cylinders need a turbo to powerslide at will and be peppy feeling on climbs. I'm very torn between this and a 718 Cayman S.

Does it possibly still have some of the lesser features such as auto dimming headlights where that sensor is functional?

The automatic headlight control is up on the dash inside the car on the gen 1, it looks to be in a similar location on the gen 2. I'll have to look in the cowl of the next eyesight equipped Subaru to see if they have this middle sensor.

Also, the same style of wheel can of course be made in multiple PCDs. It’s not like once you make one in 5 x 114.3 you can never use the same design in 5 x 100.

That too, but the wheels are still not the same design to begin with. One is forged, the other is cast.

For real? If you can afford it, why not just get the 718? Way, way more performance car. The twins are the budget priced alternative for those of us with Porsche tastes on beer money. But it you already have champagne money, why hesitate?

Of course, it is financially more sensible to get the BRZ over a new 718 since it is so much cheaper. But then, it is even more financially sensible to avoid buying any of them new and go to the 2nd hand market, where there are plenty of used BRZs and 718s on offer.

Thankfully that is not a real Ferrari, just a Chinese knock off. Every time I am in China I see tons of the supercar knock offs. They look good on the outside and you can get them cheap, $30,000 - $40,000.
