Fujitsubo Authorize R exhaust - possibly the quietest catback available.

I'm currently in the process of testing out this exhaust (along with some other to-be-named products), but wanted to share some info in case you are in the market for a quiet catback exhaust.

Exhaust details:
http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/det...04741/00001474

Super quiet, I'd say the exhaust is barely louder than stock under normal conditions and somewhere in the neighborhood of the TRD/STi exhausts in terms of noise.

Absolutely zero, ZERO drone in the cabin. Under acceleration I hear more engine than exhaust noise.

Here's a sound clip of the exhaust under load on a Dynapak. There is a slight rattle from the grounding cable connected to the tailpipe.

according to their site its 33.7 lbs, vs the 38-ish of the stock. Which will put it around the perrin weight, on the heavier/quieter side of catbacks

I had the powergetter on my 02 WRX and regret selling it. The dual resonator JASMA rating is great for staying low key. I wish fujitsubo made a dual tip in titanium at Tomei prices.

Had them on for a year, top notch quality. I really like it

Was the (now defunct) Zeta cat-back exhaust a copy of this?

I'm wondering the same thing. It looks very similar and sounds like they have a similar noise level.

Theres like 5 different companies with this exhaust. A couple japanese ones made it in titanium too if I remember correctly.

Doesnt add much power but sounds nice.

The design is pretty easy to replicate. It's the sound that is hard.

Fujitsubo purposely went with a smaller piping design with great thought into the size of the resonator, which makes a huge difference on sound.

Hi, I also have Fujitsubo Authorize R for my 86 as a catback system.
I really like it especially the deep sounding when start up the engine.
It is strange that this system is quite quiet at higher rpm range, but then it sounds very good at lower rev.
I was planning on pairing this up with tomei uel header, but I have not gone that far yet.
If anyone has that setup would you please share the sound with me :)
Thanks
