Your car isn't a repainted 10-Series based off that VIN. I bet your headlights are the "regular" halogen lights despite them listing it has HIDs. Also, I'm sure your HVAC controls are three big knobs instead of the dual digital controls.
That dealership is shady as fcuk imo. |

You can have a 100 year powertrain warranty and if you have an issue with your seats and are under the factory 3 year bumper to bumper, then you are out of luck. It's probably very rare to have an issue with the powertrain on a Toyota. My dealership now offers a no extra charge 20 year/200k powertrain warranty for new/cerified used purchases so that tells me that they know the powertrain is good to go for a while but the full bumper to bumper is where the goods are. In this day and age where the internet can make or break you, why do car dealers do this still? That goes for any business now too. I just went through a fight with ancestry.com stealing $100 from my son in $20 increments that he didn't know was being slowly taken out. I wrote so many bad reviews and complained to the BBB that I know I got our money's worth from them for what they stole. Although they initially gave back only $40, they since have relented and put all the money back. When a business plays games like this you have to stick it to them so bad, they remember you for a loooong time. The internet does not forget. Search their business out online and pile on every bad review you can get into Google my business, Yelp, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, etc, and make a detailed BBB complaint. If they want to do you bad, give it to them tenfold. Of course if this 10 year warranty in question is just a powertrain(with extras that you'll probably never use) and not a full bumper to bumper, I can see why they are denying work. |

ok sorry at that point my car was still under the 3yr 36 original warranty- just ran out last month actually.
Ya so after all that happened I went on google and write a review and found many others that had the same issue with them not doing warranty papers and adding random charges to final cost. I have called them many times and they always say manager is at a meeting. and never call back. Even when I called toyota they cold not get a hold of anyone there. Kaotic- ya my car is definitely base model |

OP:
Sucks that this is your 1st car purchase and it has to be like this. You live and learn unfortunately. As others have mentioned ... you were misled. Part of your responsibility is to read the paper work BEFORE you sign it. They owe you the difference between the 10 series and your car. As for extended warranties. I never touch them. But then I trade out cars every 3 years. 5 Gs is WAY TOO much. You should get that back or pro-rated. You need to call Toyota North America. The dealership sounds like f*ck heads. BTW: I'm not too into online reviews. Most people like to place negative comments. Fewer people place positive comments. Good luck.

If they took the money for the warranty its on paper somewhere (either the contracts from them or your bank statement). Something wont add up.
You would probably have to prove they intentianally misled you on the 10 Series thing if they charged you more. Also, I got the same 10 year/100k bumper to bumper for $1700. My buddy got his for $1400. You got ripped off royally on that one. If you want to accomplish anything consult an attorney. Sometime a simple letter threatening legal action if they dont do A, B and C is enough. |

We always own 3 vehicles, a family sedan ('14 Camry), a work truck ('11 Tacoma), and a toy ('13 FRS). We drive a combined 45-50K miles/year, keep vehicles 7-8 years, or 100-120K. I haven't spent $5k total for repairs for all vehicles in 20 years.

Make sure to proof read everything! Bastards tried to get me for third party extended warranty(wtf this was from Toyota dealership) i said no extra stuffs including gap and guess what they did. They added gap and third party extended warranty on my contract. Good thing I caught it before signing. I had to wait another 15min for them to clear it up. I knew he tried to get me and he knew I didnt fall for it. We both laughed lol.
Make sure to get tax for the trade in if you are trading in your vehicle next time. Thats couple hundred dollars there. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |
