My parents own over a dozen rental properties right now. My brother is banking on that being his retirement. I've been telling them to sell it all and buy dad a new Vette, sell their place and buy the riverfront house my mom has always wanted, and they should both travel more.

Some of our money goes to travel as well. Mind you it is my wife traveling with Ultra's wife not me but still travel.

That makes it an expensive trip to the last Blockbuster. Hopefully next time you are around I am not 15 miles out in the wilderness. I bust out laughing that day I came down to get something to eat and I had a voicemail from you.

My mom would like to go visit her family more. Especially since in another 5 years or so, travel that far is going to be very difficult.

Yeah I know. My dad doesn't think that way though so he isn't worried about it. But he doesn't know my brother thinks my parents owe him for writing a letter to my uncle to get into construction, when really my dad and uncle have been friends since high school.

just read a story the other day of someone that passed away, but they specifically left a note in their will for a freeloader relative that was expecting everything, they owed the estate $14.12.

of course it's not enforceable, but it's a good point to specifically call out the people one doesn't want getting things in the will, as the lack of mention is usually what all the contention is always over.

My old boss at the motorcycle shop used to say this. His idea was you had to apply, then you had to take care of a pet for a couple years first, then take a test, then be approved. He would go on long rants on it, it was always funny.
