I've completely revamped my gaming setup! Since my kids are no longer at home, I converted the bunk beds to a sim racing cockpit. The upper bed is storage and the lower bed has been gutted, I installed my triple monitors on a desk I built under there and permanently mounted my wheel, pedals and sim racing equipment. It's not pretty but it's awesome for Forza Motorsports 7 for the PC.

I had all but given up on sim racing because IMHO the online scene had gotten pretty bad- nothing but GT3 cars, short format no damage in every league I checked out. Not a good format for good racing; great format for hyper-aggressive wreckfests though. But I tried FM7 because a friend of mine has an XBox 1 (cross platform compatible) and we play online sometimes. But the AI racing is better than most online racing I have done! This might be a good game for league racing, but I am not sure.

You misunderstood.
That was intended for me. If I ever started in on something like WoW I would probably never see daylight again.
Not like I get addicted to doing things...

I never did the Wow thing but I did get addicted to Diablo II for about 4-5 years after my divorce when I was still raising 4 kids and did not feel like dating. I joke that killing monsters was a good release and kept me sane.

My PC gaming now consist of playing MechWarrior and BattleTech games. I also have a self-built sim racer cockpit which I use to play Raceroom Racing Experience which is a top notch racing sim.

It's a way for me to kill one addiction lol. GET A NEW ONE.

And really, you call that an addiction? pfft. You can monitor how much time your played on WoW by typing /played.. I had a single character, over 6 years ago, that had 360 days of logged in time(mind you a lot of it was afk, maybe 120 days of afk).

I have literally played WoW for an entire waking year of my life. Some people can't even manage achieving that to this day, and they have been playing since release. If I can emerge from that cavern, anyone can. I'm going back in that cavern though, but this time, I have a flash light.

What do you even play? You need to buy a Switch if you haven't....

WoW is really the only MMO worth playing these days. I've tried playing so many other games, but none feel anywhere near as good as WoW, and I'm big on fluidity of a games controls/motions/animations.

Idunno if you're a Nintendo person, old people tend to think of Nintendo as childish, but I personally think they have had some of the best console experiences, and this current gen will be the best again.. Why I mention Nintendo is of course for the Switch, and the fact that you mentioned MECH... See below:

I remember some kid died playing Diablo 48hrs straight or something. Good thing your still alive!

I'm looking at motherboards at Newegg. For the Z370 chipset there are 116 MSI, 130 Asus plus all the rest options available. How the f*ck is one supposed to make an informed decision as to which one to get? I mean they pretty much all do a similar job. Yeah, I know there are variations but 130 choices from Asus alone!

want to stay up late this weekend drinking and playing something. suggestions? lately all I play if BF4. but if I can find some folks to play with that'd be cool. I like stuff like BF that I can pick up and put down at the drop of a hat. I don't have time for any MMORPGs or anything like that.

If winter I would pick up a copy and let you slaughter me over and over until I got the hang of it but being summer games are not played much.

same here. that's why I'm trying to plan on getting some gaming in this weekend late at night. I'm nursing a hamstring injury so no training this weekend and my general activities are kinda limited.

Hang on a minute here. I have a question for you, do you overclock at all? Want to overclock at all? Do you even have hardware that is overclock-able. If none of these, you don't need a Z series board ever.

What kind of genre are you even into??

PS4? Get the new God of War.

Anything? And want a shoot'em up, Overwatch/Destiny 2 is pretty good for killing some time.

Switch? Zelda/Mario

PC? Idunno right now, they have pretty much all console games besides some exclusives. The Witcher 3 is basically a must own on pc and if you have a ps4/xboner controller, they are plug and play(if you prefer).
