Glovebox door creak/rattle
Anybody else have an issue where the glovebox door creaks and rattles while driving? If I press the door inward it stops but of course then it just starts again as soon as I remove pressure from the door. Anybody got a homemade fix for this?

Nope
I do get some occasional rattles near the A pillar in the speaker area though. Especially when the car is cold |

The 2 holes, where the tabs on the glove box lid itself go into, I glued on small pieces of chamois towel.

I had a horrid rattle in the A pillar of my FRS. Used to give it a whack and it would stop for a while. I finally pulled the cover and found it was some wires. Little bit of tape and it was all good.

Try putting Tesa tape on all the contact points.

Sorry, I can’t help with that because I don’t have the car yet. I ordered it January 6, 2022, and haven’t received it yet!!! Who knows if I will ever see this car. 😡

Sounds like your dealer dropped the ball big time.

Yeah, I had those too. Popped off the dash speaker grills and put a piece of weatherstripping foam on there and now everything is nice and snug (where the a pillar cover meets the speaker grill)

Not sure. I think a big part of the trouble is that the dealers in my region order through distributors instead of straight through Subaru of America. And from searching online, there seems to not be a single car in my whole drivable area!
My brother ordered the same car (different color) on the same exact day, and he got his about 3 1/2 months later. So I'm not sure if they dropped the ball, or if the cars are just not available, and there's nothing they can do about it. I got a call from SOA today, and they are going to look into it and get back to me by next week to hopefully explain what is going on. Sorry, I didn't want to side track this thread. I'm just REALLY disappointed at this time |

There is a pretty good thread on the other site that claims to have finally fixed this issue. I don't think I can post the link here, but you should find it if you search Finally Fixed: Tapping/ticking sound near base of windshield/dash passenger side. Post 38, by user GR86Talk. Hope it helps

My homemade fix was:
The only issue remaining is that sometimes that piece of rubber unsticks and I need to put it back in place.
