Question Going to be called "Toyota FR-S" outside of US?

Hey all, long time lurker here. Finally decided to signup after all the excitement and activity from the Scion FR-S concept debut. Happy to finally be reg'd at the best FR-S/FT86 site around.

I had a question and didn't see it asked/answered anywhere (sorry if I missed earlier post) - will this car be called Toyota FR-S in markets where there is no Scion brand? Or is it going to get its own different name under the Toyota brand?

Won't surprise me if Scion shares the same model name with Toyota, the iQ being a good example. Besides, a Toyota FR-S sounds about right as a replacement for the MR-S (market position-wise).

I think it might be Toyota FR-S. If that's the case a simple badge swap can be done for the U.S./Canada guys.

Toyota has filed a patent on "86" so its possible they would use that as a name.

Toyota patented "FR-S" way before they filed anything on the 86, unless they also plan on making different car name badges/seats (if they are lebeled) they may go with FR-S worldwide OR heck they could still call it the 86 worldwide.
