I'm just glad that we are getting an updated version of this car in general which seems to be an across-the-board upgrade that addresses its major problems, while enhancing its strengths. It's not a stupidly drastic change, but in this way the price can still stay affordable to the younger audience.

AND YET STILL, there are a few nihilistic old men who still find reasons to bitch and moan about it in every thread and every opportunity they get. (you know who I'm talking about) I remember three months ago when they kept saying the car was never going to be released, and when it was announced, they kept saying it was going to be heavier and more expensive. Now that it's here. It's still not enough for them.
Opinions will vary. Negative ones can't be expressed?
Be thankful it was released. It was in serious jeopardy.
It is heavier and will be more expensive.

Not a fan of the exterior of this car. While the first gen and refresh look pretty distinct, this looks like a mashup of a the original, plus two other cars. I see Acura in the back and Cayman in the front, with the overall shape of a BRZ.

Good news is the power increase, but that just makes me wonder how many people will try to put this motor into the current gen models, somewhere down the road.Seems like this is the motor that should've been in the refresh.

Looks like it comes with a different flavor of Michelins (If these make it to production).

If you look at the video in post #2242 above there is a clear shot of the center console with the cubby, or cup holder) in front of the covered console that also has the current two cupholders in it.

If you like the BRZ's looks over the other two, you're wrong.

I saw that when the one post mentioned a cubby/cupholder next to the ebrake.
I think other pics has piece of padding/cover over it which is why it looks like its in some shots and not others. The Center console is definately raised a littlebit to look like it might be high enough for an armrest (like that flat UK armrest/cover addon, but the sliding armrest is a little bit higher.) Hopefully its lined up with the door armrest. It'll be pretty useless if its still a bit lower.

My old Honda fit had an center console armrest that sat a bit lower than the door armrest so it was super awkward to even place my arm on it...pretty much never used it as an armrest as it was too low.

That actually looks much nicer than the one in the Hakone. Mine is very pretty and all but I am afraid to actually rest my arm on it since the rails are very flimsy.
Looks like they may have moved the cup holders back a little which may make the contortionists happy but everybody else cramp up at the thought.

Ya but that is a long way back. At least the new one has the separate one up front where the only risk is spilling coffee when shifting instead of dislocating a shoulder to reach back.
