Garage
I am on mine for a month now. Had a 160 HP increase pro tuned off the 10lb internal waste gate. Clutch is now slipping in less than a month, fuel pump had to be upgraded, around 50-100$ in extras you will need to really complete it all Correctly.
Quality is beyond amazing for the price and the owner of SBD responds on facebook in less than a minute to any questions. Customer service of SBD is unmatchable. If you are mechanically inclined and dont mind doing research this kit is for you. The kit really is the best Garage install style kit i have ever seen.

I've had the SBD kit installed for around 20k miles now and I'm extremely happy with it. Over time I've upgraded the clamps to t-bolts and replaced the BOV with a Turbosmart unit that's more responsive. That's it though - no real issues whatsoever.

just curious if anyone uses the sti pcv valve? i planned on getting an oil catch can and deleting the pcv valve but a buddy of mine told me to keep my pcv valve. i heard that our stock pcv valve cant handle boost so im a bit tied up atm? just curious what you guys have to say about that, also a picture of that pcv valve would be much appreciated if necessary to use it so i know what im looking for exactly. thanks guys

I have had too many issues with exhaust leaks and carbon monoxide leaking into the cabin. The quality of the kit is mediocre.... you get what you pay for.

If I had to do it over again, I'm not sure I would get the SBD kit again. The price was attractive but it has caused me too many headaches.
I'm not sure who you are, but could you call me at 405-309-9723?

I'm happy to help & your comments are not reflective of the thousands of owners who run the kit.

If there's a product defect with a component on your kit, we will warranty it

I 100% stand behind our products, period.

Did you buy new from us or used?

If you have a V1 kit, that kit would be from 2013 and we've made numerous improvements over the past 4 years.

Yes, I suggest the $13 Metal PCV valve to replace the factory plastic one....

Yes, I suggest a clutch, as the factory clutch will slip under boost....especially in the higher mileage cars.

For tuning, Shiv offers a custom tune for his OFT users for $245. Can be purchased here:

http://www.openflashtablet.com/shop/custom-e-tuning/

Ecutek has LOADS of tuners that offer tunes, but Visconti is the cheapest at $400 for Ecutek Programmer, License and tune. Currently the lowest price for a programmer + tune combo.

Do you happen to have the part number for the PCV valve?

I know I'm late to the party, but can you elaborate on this a bit more? I am considering the SBD kit, but my state also has emissions testing. Basically, this is the first I am reading that says this kit would cause one to fail these tests. What about the kit causes this?
