I had to let go of a temp today. He started on Monday, I never intended to bring him in but my boss was like, "give him a try and see how he works out." Guy would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time 5-6 times a day outside of designated break times to use the bathroom. I asked him if he was okay and his response was, "moving around this much I just have to use the bathroom a lot." I had just assumed he was not used to doing actual physical work even though I have him doing really easy processes and gave him the opening to respond that way. Pretty sure he was just sitting on the can hiding.

You'd think when push came to shove, he'd be willing to disclose to you that he has IBS or Chron's or something. If that's the case, then can't he just politely let you know that and you can work around it?

Wasn't an issue on his first day so I can't imagine it's a chronic condition.

Too bad he couldn't just be open and honest. If he has a medical condition that requires frequent pooping, then disclose that.

If he's getting fatigued from physical labor and needs to take Instagram breaks while hiding in a bathroom stall, then yeah fuck off and gtfo.

lol. I had a tummy ache for like two days after that but it was worth it. It was funny watching you drink out of those tiny cups.

Next time you come down, we have to get pizza at this small hole in the wall local place.

As someone with lactose intolerance who never really knew the issue was from dairy for a long time... well, there's a slight chance it's something like that.

I didn't really learn that was the issue until halfway through college.

BRZ passed inspection today, officially plated in Alberta. Now for the other car... that car will need an exorcist to pass

I have a bit of issue with lactose as we were talking about this a couple weeks ago in this thread. The birria quesadillas Ultra and I had last Saturday hurt me a bit lol, so good though. I just don't think this was actually his issue. I gave him the opening to be honest with me. When I went to talk to him about his habits I didn't bring up his bathroom issues. I walked up and asked "Are you okay?" and mentioned how he disappears often during the work day even though I knew that's where he was going. He was quite overweight and out of shape and even doing simple tasks like running our drill press which has auto feed, he was always stretching and going to lean against a workbench. I think he wasn't used to doing anything physical at all and it was bothering him. He told me he is pretty sedentary at home. He was also very phone addicted. Even giving him instruction I would have to tell him to put his phone in his pocket and look at me when I was talking with him. All I ask of guys when they start working for me is to learn and show effort. I can work with those two traits. It's not an easy job and I am pretty ginger with newbie's until the get their legs.
