2011 WRX or should i wait for the FT?

this foto is just for reference, but this is one hot hatch! i was considering buying one just because it has 4 doors and it looks sporty enough.
what do you guys think about the car? LET THE HATE BEGIN!
(EDIT: THE 2011 WRX IS THE SAME BODY AS THE STI)

Well they're built with different purpose in mind so its basically what you're looking for...a fun awesome handling car or a more practical decent fast turbo car. I'm waiting for the ft and if I don't like it, I'll probably pick a wrx up.

I was planning to get a WRX next year until I heard about the potential production of the FR and then saw the new Impreza body.

If it was between the 2011 and waiting until next year some time, I'm pretty impatient and would probably rock the WRX for a few years. Plus it will allow time to get the kinks worked out in the FR and see if they decide to up the stats any.

But since my timing works out with the expected release, I'm waiting to see how the FR turns out.

I dont understand the question OP, what do you want/need in a car? Did you want a FR sports car? or did you want something practical and sporty?

If your looking at a WRX vs FRS..chances are you will be more happy with a WRX. Especially if you frequently have passengers and lug items around, with benefits of AWD for better traction in ill weather.

That's a very nice stance on that STI!

If you have the patience to wait, why not wait for the FT and Subie versions! Then in that case, if you think the FT/RS are not the right car for you, go with the STI. You'll probably find a better deal later on as well!

I thought about the a 2011 WRX also for my next car if the FRS never came into production. Just depends on what you want from your car. I hate driving around friends and dont plan on a fast 4-door until i have kids lol.

Or the Supra hes standing next to lol...

Basically what everyone else is saying, its really what you want in a car. I personally really like the newer wrx/sti hatch or sedan. If you have to have something NOW and want to wait a couple years until the "bugs" are worked out of the FR or want to just buy used later on then go for it, I'm sure you'll enjoy the Subie, they look awsome, sound great and I'm sure they are a ton of fun. Everyone I know thats has been in an STI loves it and say it handles amazing

If you want the STI, then go get it. However, if you just want the WRX, I'd wait for the FT to come out first. I don't need a new car now, but eventually I will so I have the luxury of waiting (if it's really a luxury?). View it as a way to save, put a little aside every month and you should have a nice stash for whatever car you want to buy in the next few years.

I was in the same dilema and ended up buying the 2011 WRX, i tell you my decision was made once i test drove the car... It is a lot of fun to drive, i love my car, this car turn heads when you drive it at least down here in miami, it is not a popular car and when i drive it around everybody looks at it... Then new 2011 WRX with the STI body and new rims look as sexy as ever... I would highly recommend you to go test drive the subie...
This are some pics of my new car...

*OFF TOPIC*

There was a taco shop here in SD that opened inside a Chevron gas station. I kid you not, it said Analbertos! It meant to say Anaibertos but whoever made their sign messed up the sign and owners never knew or fixed it!

Let's just say they didn't stay in business for very long!
