Go Lando!
A ok why not, Go Stroll.

Gasly takes more penalties, ALO gave a snarky remark seeing an incident ahead about the blocker…
(as I write this I see he has received 2 x 3 place grid penalties)

Great race. Really think the no chicane layout helped.

Agree a great race.

Yuki’s penalty is not deserved, he was doing so good.

ALO needs to wash out & disinfect his nose real good after that one.

I had high hopes for Lando but suspected he would
be a little slow for race pace but not by that much.

It only rains inside George’s helmet.
Them MERC boys sure were hungry today!

Yeah, I thought Yuki’s penalty was pretty rubbish, Zhou still had room on the outside, it looks like he oversteered a bit on the dirty tarmac and turned out in correction. I didn’t see contact and he had at least as much space as Max left Carlos.

Verstoppen reminds me of Valentino Rossi earlyish in his career riding for Honda. He does things that defy the laws of physics. Routinely sliding up to and just kissing the barriers in Monaco, power sliding around Barcelona at a fastest lap pace. It is spectacular.

And Leclerc reminds me of Marquez, talent is there but gets in his own head.

So, wife and I go up to the Outlet Mall so I can look for a pair of tennis shoes today. Hit Nike, Addias and then Puma. Who knew Puma did motor racing stuff? In the $29 dollar clearance section I see Red Bull, Ferrari, BMW M and then these,, Petronas AMG F1 tennis shoes. BTW, some really looked more driving shoes than tennis shoes to me, all $29.

They have been in motor sport for a long time. My driving shoes are Puma. They make suits, fire retardant undergarments', gloves too.

I didn't know Puma did non-motorsports stuff...

Was to go to the Thursday’s open house pit walk but found out a few days ago that they changed that free format…

Seems that a month ago they had some limited quantity of FREE tickets to be given out this year for the Pit walk (ticket grab only lasted not much over an hr).
It was well under the radar and not advertised.

There were 2 options:
Option 1 : Just the morning pit walk just needed reserved free tickets
Option 2 for $30@ you get the morning pit walk & a choice of a seated grandstand for the afternoon event with access to the food trucks.
There are still ticket left for sale for that fraud!
They practice security in the afternoon & test out the security cars…
Just another money grab that my cheap-ass refuses to pay for.

Last years open house was the most attended I had ever seen since the past 30 yrs or so.
My Thursdays afternoon plan will still be to pick up freebees & sample some drinks at the Crescent street party.
And check out a few blocks away the yearly car show on Peel which over the years I find the “exotic” car collection quality has declined.

Friday looks promising for the practice sessions if you like rain…
Expect a full weekend of rain to mess up the order on track again.

I was so much looking forward to that pit walk, crap!
