Been a giant lazy bum working on the bike as of late...

But found time to throw the new wheels onto the 86 <3

And found a little local deal to prep for an eventual 60k mile celebration.

It was carpro spotless on my coated paint. Part of a spring decontamination wash package I'm putting together.

Went in depth a little more on my journal post.

wait isnt spotless a super acidic lime remover? isnt it a bit aggressive to coatings.. i remember using it and removed instantly my fusso coating in many spots
hae you ever tried an acidic shampoo to make the coating shine again?

Spotless is aggressive, but it is designed to be used on coatings. Carpro advertises it specifically with Cquartz but it should work on others(testing a small panel first).
Not sure what variant of fusso you use but if it's more a sealant they tend to have much less chemical resistance which could explain why spotless killed it.

I have a bottle of carpro descale I picked up to test which is a acidic soap. Like spotless it isn't designed to be used regularly, I tried it seperately a couple weeks ago and it did reduce the water spotting on my coating but could not remove them entirely.

Mineral deposit remover + quick pass on lower panels with perforated clay towel in the spring seems to be common practice for ceramic coating maintenance in the spring.(at least locally where our winters are crap)

My coating was still going strong so I follow up with Carpro elixir to add a little gloss and lubrication for final wipe down. If the coating was starting to show signs of wear I'd use reload to boost it a little.

Yeah, the weather has destroyed some sections of the road, but it’s still pretty fun
