I believe the Crosstrek orange colour code is PAK (Sunshine Orange).

The 2017 Special edition was Called "Solar Orange". I don't recall that it was a pearl coat though.

EDIT:

The paint code was NBB and it apparently was pearl coat.

That one was more of a red/orange and as far as i can remember it looked red in some angles/light and orange in others. Its colour code appears to be NBB.
I guess that one was a one-off for that special edition?

I never seen one in person so i cant say what the colour is like in person.

If the special edition is orange and is the same used in the 2022 WRX i guess i'll be somewhat underwhelmed. I didnt really care for that colour on that car.

I have seen one. It was very... orange. Unlike the Lava that had different tones from brown to gold depending on light and angle they were just orange.

Be confusing as hell if they use the Subaru named "Solar Orange" Which is a faded out looking crappy colour. I am a huge fan of orange cars but that Subaru version is just blah.

I meant the WCL code.

I was replying to your post to input the NBB color code, but went back and changed it and forgot to delete your quote. Sorry for the confusion. My fault.

Don't do that! I confuse easily enough as it is.

Its the new 2022 WRX orange.

Look at the positive side of it, no-one is buying the new WRX, so its going to be a rare hue

Not sure about the 0 in front of the WCL.
The paint codes for the 86 and the BRZ were always the same even with the different company names (i.e. Raven and Christal Black Silica were both D4S) so the 0 changes that "normal" situation up.
On the other hand they are not going to make codes so similar that an 0 changes the colour so the orange is probably correct even if it is the suckiest shade of orange ever. I have seen the WRX and it looks like it sat in the Arizona sun for far too long.
I am biased though since I predicted a shade of orange a while back before we had a code. It is just a really normal Toyota thing to do. The BRZ will probably get a special blue or grey instead since that is their go to.

Just to clarify, it is NOT a pearl/tri-stage/premium paint. The "AM" suffix is for standard paint colours, and "AA" is used for red/white

Yeah not sure if the 0 makes any difference.

I think, with the gloss black wheels and door mirrors, it might look nice on the GR86. I think it will make it pop and be better suited to our coupes body style as well.

The WRX code WCL is called "Solar Orange Pearl" but I am not convinced the one I saw had any hint of a pearl coat. Sort of weird.

Interesting. Reading some of your reviews/comparisons, I thought you’d prefer the manual. Looking forward to the reviews of the Supra manual.
