Car insurance costs are bull anyways. They'll do anything to justify higher costs. Mine went up because "insurance costs went up in Virginia." And when I stopped commuting to work by car and lowered by usage to around 6000 miles/year, my insurance didn't go down because "we're not factoring that in for you." And somehow my brand new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk costs less to insure than a 3 year old FR-S. I guess because yall keep crashing them.

Don't get me started on insurance companies. They are for-profit. They will always raise the premium regardless. My advice is to shop around. It's a hassle, but I shop ALL my insurance (home, business, car, etc.) and I always find something less expensive with the same coverage. I only shop through reputable companies.

How often do you shop around? I've been with USAA for a while. Left Allstate after 6 years though. Do they penalize you for switching around?

Fun fact: most of the "Scion" cars (not all) are badged as Toyota in the rest of the world not just the FRS so even your list does not include "True Scions". Scion never built a car ever. Not one. Not even the tC.

Pictured below is a Canadian Toyota Yaris sedan. You in the US know it as a Scion iA.

Scion is a U.S. brand. thats all it is, a brand. not a car manufacturer.

If you're with a good company. Stay with them. I shop my rates annually or semi-annually. Whenever the premium renews. There's no penalty for switching. Although with home owners ins .... if you have any ins paid repairs ... this goes on your record for a period of time. Not sure if 3 or 5 yrs. during that time period ... your premium will be higher.

Insurance is just a commodity. Shop it.

"Aka the Mazda 2"

And if I'm correct, made in Mexico !

So that would be a Mexican, Toyota, Mazda...then imported to Canada...possibly via USA...whew !

Zoom Zoom.

1) It isn't a GT86. 86. The GT86 is the Euro market name.
2) all of the Scions have been some Toyota or Daihatsu (or Mazda) branded car elsewhere except the tC. Bumper covers are as real as it generally got for Scion as a brand.
