This guy... What gave you the idea that the whistling is from the fuel pump? Your dealer must be really nice, because I'm not seeing the relation between intake and fuel pump.

Many cars have the "whistle". It's just induction noise. The sound tube doesn't affect it either. I've heard it on nearly every type of vehicle.

Probably has to do with airflow through the snorkel....anyone with an after market intake with that removed care to chime in.

Try putting it in neutral and coasting to see what happens. Also roll down the windows and see if you and a passenger can determine a side its coming from. Could always mount a go pro in different locations to narrow down the source.

I have a airaid with stock snorkel and dont hear anything.

My car makes this noise. Its almost like a "digital" whistle, or high pitched hum when traveling on the highway at steady speeds. Ive been suspecting the sound tube, and will be removing it this week just to see.

It's not the sound tube....it goes away when you let off the gas in gear or out.

It's not very loud so I'd imagine the air raid covers it up .

Exactly, when the throttle plate closes. Theres no air being sucked through the intake (well, there's a very small amount), so the air going through the sound tube is minimal.

At this moment in time, I think this thread is hopeless. This is only the second page and it already sounds (reads) like a broken record.

I've been having the exact same noise you guys seem to be describing for the past few weeks.

A high pitch whistling noise that happens only when I'm on throttle in the 6th gear, between 3100-3600 rpm, and hits the peak at 3500 rpm and then goes away pretty quickly. In speed terms, around 73-74 mph the noise starts hits peak at 80 mph and goes away after that. Does anyone have any update on this?

It's not the noise tube for sure. I have a Perrin CatBack installed, but others on this thread having the same issue don't seem to have any exhausts installed. I recently changed my trans and diff fluid too, but the noise still persists.
@StormTrooper @Lydin any updates from you guys?

FYI - I have 42,000 miles on this vehicle. No other mods, everything else is stock.

Same exact symptoms as @ZeHeadBanger.
35K miles now, everything stock except Perrin catback and plugged noise tube.
Sounds like transmission gear whine / nonexistent supercharger whine.
Feels like it's been getting louder over the last few k miles.
