IMO, the best bang for the buck is Oil Analyzer's Inc for $22.45 which includes TBN, nitration, and oxidation.

Bump for any further updates? I'm tempted to swap due to burning a lot of mobile 1 my last two oil changes. Either this or Amsoil

Since its been hot and I've been using the A/C, my idle dip came back even after I had Toyota reflash the newest calibration. Do you really think changing to 0W-30 is the reason it's smoother to you?

Honestly, I would try the GC 0w-30. It's a slightly heavier version of a 30 weight so it may help your consumption. Also, my engine seems WAY smoother and more willing to climb from lower than normal revs. Ex. 3rd gear at 1000 rpm no problem. My 2 cents

I like GC. I used it last summer when it was really hot, and the engine was more quiet on that than anything else I've tried. There is a slight valvetrain noise that I can hear with the TGMO 0W20 (current fill) and Amsoil SS 0W20 that I don't notice with the CG. I also use it in my wife's RDX (turbo), and my Mustang (supercharged).
The RDX Used Mobil 1 5W30 before, and would go through about 1/2 a quart between oil changes (5000 miles). Not bad considering it's got over 100K miles on it. Since changing to GC, the oil level hasn't moved, and she's about 4K miles in.
The Mustang didn't get switched over for any particular reason, other than having some GC on hand. I previously used RP 5W30, M1 5W30, and Amsoil SS 5W30/10W30.

at 1,000 miles I did an oil change with GC 0w30 and a OEM subaru filter, and did a 2 day track weekend at Sebring (8 total 30 min sessions), where I hit close to 300* oil temps based on the OEM sensor, so I will report back with my UOA when I send it off shortly.

Not sure if this is a nationwide sale but all 3 local stores had this deal here in SoCal
Yep, I bought a few complete oil changes of GC with this deal. They gave me Bosch filters. Using the OEM though.

Ah yes, sorry for the delay. I have attached the UOA.

Here is my email conversation with Blackstone as well as their comments regarding track use:

ME:
I use the car a lot for track days. This was after two days on track, with approximately 250 track miles. Do you see any issue with running longer on the same oil? The oil temps were in the 290*s, so that is why I was worried about running more than two days on this oil. I just recently completed a single day event on Toyota 0w20, which I will be sending in a sample of as well after the next track day.

BLACKSTONE:
Scott,

Running longer on the oil shouldn't be a problem. The oil itself was fine in your sample, and the wear levels weren't unexpected for a new engine, so we don't see why not. When running more track days on the oil, you might see some of the wear metals reading higher than average, but that's normal with engines used for racing. You could try increasing your oil runs slowly (say, adding one more track day or 300-500 miles to the previous run), and seeing how your engine and oil are handling that kind of use.
