Would you sell just a 3" high flow cat? My 3" TBE is rather noisy, and I was hoping a high flow cat installed would help some.

Finally got my JDL EL Header, OP, and FP installed, tuned, and dyno'd! Here are the results:

RunFile_012 - JDL EL Header (no cat), JDL OP, JDL catted/resonated FP, Stock Catback, GrimmSpeed Intake, Delicious Stage 2 Tune, Cusco RS LSD (don't think it makes a difference though)
RunFile_007 - 100% Stock Exhaust, K&N Drop in Filter, Delicious Stage 1 Tune

And here is a previous dyno with stock tune and stock exhaust:

Runfile_005 - 100% Stock Exhaust + Tune, K&N Drop in Filter
Runfile_006+7 - Delicious Stage 1 Tune

All dynos also have the following mods and were performed with 93oct and run in 4th gear:
ACT Prolite Clutch/Flywheel
DSS CF Driveshaft
Perrin Engine Mounts
Crawford Performance AOS

Big thanks to @JDLAutoDesign, @DeliciousTuning, and @Pure Automotive for the parts install and dyno!

It could also be a leak as it sounds the same. Does it do it when you give it gas only, what about lightly applying throttle. Its not only with stock overpipe at least not in my case. I uploaded a couple of videos when i installed my ptuning header, look up "yomny" on youtube, can't link them here as im at work.

PS- if it does it at idle and after being fully warmed up, then its most likely a leak.

I recognize what rasp sounds like and I'm fairly convinced that the sound I am hearing isnt it. This particular sound overpowers the sexy boxer rumble and is distinctly clicky/flappy. Additionally, I don't think I would have bought JDL if I was under the perception that all aftermarket headers sound like shit when you step on it. Please keep in mind this sound occurs only when I apply gas. Idle = sexy JDL rumble, as advertised.

I'm at work on my phone but will YouTube you when I have a chance later. I appreciate your suggestions.

Moreover, I spoke to JDL and will be testing for leaks with sea foam next weekend. If no leaks, I guess I'll have to buy the op/fp combo, which I was planning on buying anyway

More recommendations/suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks guy

You know this type of response from a comment intended to help is what keeps most of us from replying to those asking for help with clickity, flappy, cracky sound questions. . Sounds like you got it covered.

What "type" of response does my comment fall under? If Ure offended I apologize, I had no intent of shooting down your suggestions. I'm actually grateful that you did comment because it opens up another possibility as to why I'm experiencing this specific issue. Any comments, good or bad, are welcomed. I'll be the first one to say that I know nothing about cars and this is my first header install that im doing all on my own. So please, comment away

@yomny by the way I just saw your videos. If your car has rasp, it's very minimal (sounds amazing). My car definitely sounds different, even at idle. You have a tomei op yet my car is louder due to the clicking/flapping on revs. Thanks for videos and again, no hard feelings mans

I'd struggle to say most headers make rasp.... On a Honda, sure, but that's because of the insane overlap they run. My JDL UEL has zero rasp, and the Supersprint on my GTI has zero rasp.

If it's raspy you either have a leak or something else in the exhaust is causing the rasp. I put a Nameless OP/FP combo pipe on my car with the old style Helmholtz resonator and it rasped like a mofo, just as an example of what I mean.

On a side note, my Ti coated overpipe & catted/resonated frontpipe arrived at home today. Now I'm really looking forward to this weekend

No dog in this fight, most rasp comes about from cat/no cat.

I don't know if this was already mentioned or not but how is the 2.5" JDL Ultra-quiet front pipe quieter than the stock front pipe?

I'll be installing the ultra-quiet pipe tomorrow, I'll let you know. I'm not expecting it to be quieter than the stock pipe, and I'll be a bit disappointed if it is, lol.

I installed the JDL EL catted header last night and I could only get it 2-3mm from the fan shroud. I drove it to work and noticed it had begun to melt the plasic of the shroud. What is the best way for me to adjust the header so that I can move it farther away?

I installed my JDL overpipe and catted/resonated front pipe and drove it around a bit. Fitment of the overpipe is freaking fantastic! The frontpipe took a little bit of work, I really had to shove it towards the passenger side to not hit the tranny mount and the donut gasket that was included really put a LOT of excess tension on the frontpipe-midpipe bolts because of the way the gasket is made versus stock.

Sounds fantastic! No wooshy noise, and it's a tiny bit louder than my previous setup (ISIS overpipe and stock frontpipe) but there's no rasp and no strange tingy noise like I got with the Nameless combo pipe.

I can't wait for tomorrow so I can go out and rip around a bit with the windows down and not worry about snow in my face, hehe.
