No it isn't. The term was for cars not people. Cars are not a race.

It's still used fairly frequently in the motorcycle world to refer to Japanese bikes.

But but, cars have feelings too. I am completely offended. I think I will share your statement on Facebook so others know to also be offended.

Not sure if you're joking.

I am not. No doubt you will try some long convoluted way to make it racist though.

Asian here. I'm approving all your passes to say "ricer". That's how it works right?

A "rice burner" was/is a Japanese CAR or BIKE. A "Ricer" is any person regardless of where they are from that likes to pretend they have a race car. It is not a racist term but if you want to go out of your way to be offended by it as such then that is your call.

I was joking around lol. Not offended at all. I'm secretly a ricer too inside despite my attempts to hide it.

I am a total ricer! Lowered car wit loud exhaust that is driven like a Corolla 90% of the time. I embrace my inner ricer.

Exactly. I'm a "ricer" on the bike side because everything I've ever owned has been a Honda. Of course until recently my favorite bike (Goldwing) was actually built in the US so not sure how that works.

Oh, and I eat rice about 3 times a week, although I know @Tcoat probably doesn't approve...

I guess the US equivalent would be a "corn-er" but somehow that has a wrong feel to it.

I eat a lot of rice now. Didn't have my first bite until I was about 18 but it is a favorite now.
