I have no idea what causes this...but it happens to all my other cars as well (Camry, Corolla, Altima). I also have it on my FRS, it happens before I tinted the car and after.

Mine does it too, not every time but enough to bug me. Took it to Scion, they "lubed" (AKA did nothing) the tracks and called it good. Still does it.

I have a BRZ Limited and my windows (non-tinted) do squeal a bit when i roll them down. Looks like the weather strip may be rubbing against the outside portion of the glass. I don't think it's anything to worry about, unless you've tinted your windows from the outside.
There's a clear streak (if that makes sense) that's always apparent on the glass from the outside whenever i roll up the windows. I'll take pics when I get home. |

You are talking about a different issue. My passenger side window squeaks in rain, but not in dry days. My driver side window is perfectly fine. Is there a solution to this? Kind of embarrassed when my friends play with my ‘new' car and were surprised by the noise.

Nope. Windows aren't scratched.

Could just be the difference between dry/dry versus dry/wet or wet/wet materials rubbing against each other. Like a finger on the top of a glass. Haven't really noticed it on mine though.
My last DD the driver's window would not roll up in the rain. It would roll up/down all day long on a dry day, but would not roll up on a wet day. It would only roll up two or three inches at a time, then you'd have to wait about 90 seconds and repeat. Probably a leak into the door somewhere, but never could find it.
