FRS/BRZ owners around the Chicago Land Area

There's a White BRZ Limited that lives in the house across from my Aunt's house in Glendale Heights. I'm staying here for two weeks before I go back to Texas, so i see it every day! I wonder if they are on the forums...

Spotted a couple, one in hot lava and one in white FR-S's going west on golf in Arlington heights in rush hour today. Waved at both of them but got back blank stares...

Circuitjerk is near you (silverfrs) and so is phat86(red frz) There's another handful of us within a 15 minute drive. I may see about doing a cars and coffee this sunday if I don't go to the track.

I'm kinda wishy washy on whether to go FI or stay NA and reliable. I need to meet up with some of you guys at the next show and get a ride insomebody's supercharged car!


Idc whether its mild or wild, just open my eyes to what these cars are like when they make decent power and then hopefully I will be disappointed every time i drive my car so that I will break down and go FI!

So when is the next show and would anyone be willing to let me RIDE along while they get on it once or twice? Dont need or want to drive anyone else's stuff, just need a kick in the pants to quit being a baby and blow my money.

The grin you get out of having gobs of power is pretty big - till something breaks. The grin from a little more power (reasonable upgrade in HP) isn't as big, but of course is a bit more consistent.

If you can handle not having the biggest, quickest, most powerful car on the block and just have fun with it... stay N/A for a while. If you're itching to keep up with the Joneses, you'll find yourself boosted sooner or later, and it really comes down to this.

That said, the grin I get from a car that corners well doesn't land me speeding tickets for the daily drive - and I get to have a little fun every single drive. That may simply explain why I stuck with autocross for some time, but have only been to a drag strip once.

Well, I'm turbocharged, but I'm always willing to give rides in my vehicle. It's just a little hard to catch up to me because of my odd schedule.

Im all about the car the way it is now. Im just not sure whether to spend the $1k or so to just get a UEL header and stage2 flash or whether to have ANOTHER "Eh,F*** it" logic kinda moment(1st one is the day I bought the BRZ, and that one has turned out quite well thus far)

I'll give you a ride. Its not GOBS of power (don't want to worry about breaking things) but its fun IMO.
Also super reliable once I replaced a known bad pulley

If you do end up going to something just send me a PM and let me know. Im in NWI but Ill cruise to wherever in the chicagoland area! Going to a local show tonight in Valpo. Its every friday night, usually a lot of classics and late model muscle but theres usually a decent import crowd as well.
