That's pretty gnarly, we might have met at some point. Haha.

Thank you! I love this exhaust. The Tanabe is relatively inexpensive new even. I fully recommend it.

Bit of an update:
Finally got my new tires mounted.......but it was somewhat of a debacle. Federals are known to run wider than size listed, so I figured when leaving that brand I could bump to a 235 instead of a 225. Clearly that did not work. Rears rub constantly so I had to take them off for the time being. Fronts rub on bad dips, but not constantly. (forgot how much fun can be had on the stock rear tires) Going to attempt a mild fender roll and pull on all 4 corners this weekend. I quite enjoy my ride height, and don't really want to see it go. If all goes as planned I'll be able to run a meatier tire than previous while staying low. Fingers crossed.

Had a very mild pull and roll done on the fenders last weekend.
Clearance is greatly improved, but I still occasionally rub on the front fender liner and the rear bumper where it meets the rear quarter panel. At this point I'm probably going to raise the car a few mm. I don't think I need to add much clearance for everything to work, just need to find the point of contact under max compression. On a brighter note, I like the way the car drives on the new tires. It could be brand related or size related or both, but on the previous setup I always felt sidewall flex. The car is much quicker to respond now.

Took advantage of a Labor Day sale and bit the bullet on this. Don't need a clutch right now, but my throw out bearing has been making questionable noises since about 40k miles or so.....I'm almost to 80k now. Figured I'd use the whole thing as an excuse for new parts and a bit of an upgrade! I've driven a long tube EL 86 equipped with a lightweight flywheel before and loved it. Excited to see how it turns out.

Raised the car today. One coilover didn't wanna budge so had to blast it with penetrating oil and repeatedly smack the spanner wrench with a hammer.
Also found an exhaust leak at the over pipe/front pipe connection. Replaced the ISR supplied gasket with an oem STi gasket as it happens to be 2.5". Was about to button everything back up but decided to check the OP/header connection. Of course the other ISR supplied gasket has a slight leak. Making another trip to Subaru soon.

Install Weekend
So clutch/flywheel/TOB went in yesterday. Was a pretty straightforward process. Didn't touch the shifter just disconnected the linkage from under the car and plugged the rear end of the trans with a 30mm socket lol. OEM clutch didn't look bad, but I'm glad the TOB came out. I'm in love with the Exedy 12 lb. flywheel. Car revs much quicker than before; both downshifts and acceleration are more enjoyable. The new OEM clutch makes the car easy to operate even with the flywheel. Also swapped out the other bad gasket on the over pipe with another oem STi gasket. The only bad news; It seems I have a small leak coming from my rear main seal. Subaru parts had already gone home for the weekend, and none of the parts stores carried the replacement seal. Needed the car back as it is my daily, so I'll have to get it done another time. Fortunately, I was told a small leak shouldn't become an issue for quite some time. I won't ignore it, but at least it means I don't necessarily have to drop the trans again next weekend. Overall still a good weekend.

Finally got an alignment today after raising the car and adding more camber to one corner that needed it. Just barely fit on the rack.

Decided I wanna refresh the look of the car and will be piecing together a new front lip, side skirts, and rear aprons. The old stuff will be up for sale if anyone wants them.
side note the car looks butt neked now, lol
