When I was young anything with pop-up headlights meant it was fast.

Lotus Esprit. Pop-up lights AND Turbo meant SUPER FAST!

Acura NSX. The first Car and Driver magazine I ever read had a feature on it. And it was FAST AS A FERRARI!

Toyota A70 chassis Supra Turbo. Again pop-up lights AND Turbo!

The white Supra is my buddy's HEAVILY upgraded car.

So far I'm one for 3 on childhood dream cars so I can't complain.

Edit: If I'd known that there were TWIN TURBO Supras (these would've been the fastest cars in the world in my young mind!) when I was young that would've been the only car on my list so I could be 1 for 1!

That would've been #4 on the list. If the FT/R-86/S turns out to be a dog (god forbid!) I would seriously consider a W20 chassis MR-2 and an MZ V6 swap.

The thing with my picks, aside from the Lotus, I seriously believed at the time that my parents could buy them if they wanted to. Didn't happen though...

Keeping in mind I graduated from high school in 1952 the most beautiful car I ever saw (stock) was a 49-50 Mercury. The most beautiful car chopped and channeled was a 49-50 Mercury!

Today it's the Cayman.

Unfortunately I could not locate a decent picture of a Crash Test Dummy Car, you remember those? That was my dream car, you could crash it into a wall and put your arms back on and fold your car back together, I'm sure Volvo is on that!

Always though the Saleen S7 was cool. A friend of mines dad has a white 1983 911 he's had for years though and always found it beautiful. I'll probably own my own 1 day.
