Not that they would but I picture one day turning on your wipers and the blades disintegrate.

I’ve had 17 manual transmission cars and bought an auto. People who think you don’t have a car unless it’s a manual are newbs, or kids. They both have their place.

It is probably the 'newbs' or 'kids' that are buying them. Most of the younger generation seems to have no interest in driving a stick, or even know what the third pedal is for..

Well truth be told, its not great for the engine..

But even if that were not a factor, you could never convince me to give up the pleasure of a manual gearbox in a sports car for remote start, or a cupholder, maybe it's just me

P.S. - Honestly surprised with all the emissions regs out there these days that it's even legal to have remote start. Wonder how long before they outlaw that too. And make sitting in an idling car a ticket.

I don't really get why would someone get the twins with an auto. Unless something restricts you from driving stick

If anyone is remotely on the fence about AT vs. MT, the fact that ATs are readily available compared to manuals right now will do it.

I figured you were from Florida, here in Canada many cars have remote start. When its -30F at night and the car is parked outside it is nice to warm it up in advance.

Personally never used it, year ago bought a house with 2 car garage so even when its extremely cold outside it gets just a little below freezing in the garage so its ok. And at work I plug in the block heater on the car so it warms up pretty quickly, I don't like idling my cars.

Which begs the question, is remote start illegal in those states then?
