Difference of OFT Stg1 vs Tomei+Stg2

Hi, someones selling a Tomei UEL in my area and since im already on oft stage 1, im thinking why not? Total price however will hit 900 usd as im in the Philippines so its still quite a spend.

Pros:
1. Ive always wanted better sound but going UEL would hit 2 birds! Sound + power so no need to buy exhaust
2. Makes my OFT more useable
3. I really want better acceleration esp where i drive (below 5k rpm)

Cons:
1. Unlike the exhaust, the sound will be coming from belowish me. Will it be too noisy for DD in traffic? Airflow noises? Rattling?
2. Will i really feel an acceleration difference from stg1 to stg2, worth 900usd?

I had a OFT Stg 1 and it felt better from stock but not too huge an upgrade. Then I added a catted JDL UEL header and it was very apparent. Still Stg 1 though since it's catted and only 90 octane is available here. I would imagine stg 2 and uncatted would be a much bigger boost compared to what I have and I definitely feel it was worth it.

Prices being what they are, I don't really know if that's a good deal or not where you live but Tomei built quiality headers so if it's a fair price and you want a bit of an upgrade I would go for it.

Without an aftermarket exhaust(e.g. keeping it stock) you won't really notice any sound difference with UEL, at least that is my experience with a Borla UEL.

You will notice a torque difference with a header, the torque dip you get on stock goes away.

Worth it in my opinion for the torque boost in low/mid rpm but entirely up to you if you want to spend 900

Its worth it power wise , but if you get an aftermarket exhaust it will be louder even with quiet ones like a Q300. Stock exhaust should be fairly quiet.

I just went stage 2 a couple of weeks ago, and here's my take on it:

Is it worth it? Yes.
What header should I get? Stay within your budget.

I got the cheapest of the cheapest uel headers and not only I love the sound, I love what it did to my car. My torque curve is almost completely smooth, and the power gains are noticeable.

If you can afford 900$ with no problem, go for it. I could afford a 550 header at the time (Gruppe-S), but I went with CNT v2 because it saved me almost 200$. And if it ever goes to shit, I can almost buy another one with that money.

It will be louder but not a lot. Won’t be a problem for daily driving or conversation inside the car at all.
It will be a decent jump in power and more importantly the torque dip will be all but gone.
