Today I barely managed to install GR86 oem oil cooler in the FRS, what a pain the ass. Next time I will put the car in jack stands to preserve my back. Measuring and cutting the hoses with clamps was the time consuming. Next week I will test the car to see how it performs... or blowing up the engine lol

Best brand/fabricator for exhaust. My dream will be full JDL exhaust, at least ultra quiet FP+Overpipe

They make solid products! I have a similar front pipe to the JDL ultra quiet, currently installed with my UEL.

Installed a new gauge cluster cover and added an alcantara overlay to it.

The teeth on my old one were so worn out, it would no longer stay in place

Finally got my 2017 86 tuned today with ecutek. I've had the AFE catted EL header for a year now. The car is stock other than the header and the K&N drop-in filter.

Changed the left side spark plugs. Yup, huge PITA like everyone said it is. Will do the right side tomorrow.

63,xxx miles in case anyone is wondering. Just daily driving and no track/racing.

Finished the right side. Was easier than the left. Total time took about 5 hours. 3ish for the left side, and 2ish for the right.

i bought some used bc racing extreme low coilovers and threw them on yesterday. they look phenomenal, the only problem is that the swift spring rates are 40k and the ride quality is terrible now lol. should i get new springs for the coilovers or just put back my rce yellow lowering springs?

Thats Great! Was just a regular 60K maintenance or any signs for the sparks.

Does it need mechanic skills or could an average person do the task. Asking causes coming close (53K)

Just the maintenance schedule. Car didn't really feel any different, but my mpg was down. However, that was also harder to tell since I'm mainly doing city street driving now. I'm still on the same tank as before replacing the spark plugs, and the current average mpg has gone up a little, so I'm pretty sure the new spark plugs are helping.

I'll say this job needs more patience than anything else. As long as you know how to use the hand tools required, I think you should be able to DIY.
