I'll be 72 next month. Bought my 2016 FRS 2.0 because I gave my 2007 Yaris to my daughter in-law. Went to the Toyota dealer in search of a nice sedate Corolla. Well, they had a FRS on the showroom floor,so I thought I'd sit in it while I waited for a salesperson.
I asked if I could drive it home to ask the wife for her opinion. She said , what the hell, you've always had utilitarian cars,so let yourself have some fun. ,get it!! |

Just turned 55. Never had a fun car. Wife green-lighted the BRZ after we did some online research.
Will be picking up my 2020 blue BRZ next week. Very excited! |

Used some of money I'd been saving for a "someday" cabin in the woods. But "someday" isn't guaranteed, and the BRZ opens up many opportunities (daily driving, autocross, maybe tracksprint) that are available now, not in some misty-maybe future. Haven't stopped smiling since I brought it home. Thank you. Thrilled to be joining the group of oldsters, youngsters, and in-betweensters that also love driving their twins. |

Age doesn't matter here, what matters is enjoying a lot of stuff which was missing in entire life and cherish it. I just turned 59 and this BRZ is still learning car for me even though I have been driving over a year now. Here and there I mess up and sometimes driving is smooth like butter. Not sure what happens to me days. I never use music, but enjoying the engine rumbling sound.

I think you bought the car for the right reasons. As you said, most people put things off for “someday”, and then realize too late that ‘someday’ is never going to happen. If you find your dream cabin that you want more than the BRZ, you can always sell the car. Until then, just enjoy each and every time you get behind the wheel. |

It's good to learn there are lots of "older" owners. I am 41. I seriously thought I will be one of the oldest owners. Wish i will be able to drive a sportscar for a while longer (bought the BRZ to haul my youngish girls and wife around town), though it's been a bit harder to get in and out of the BRZ in the winter with the parker.
