Wouldn't that be the best? Mrs. Ultra would fix that for me.

So I bought this really rough Infiniti G35 as a temporary practical car, mostly because I have trouble trusting that a BMW won't have its water pump go and leave me with a blown head gasket, and also because it's fast

Damn, the pro audio shop that put in the big amp and speakers needs to go out of business. There are tons of wires that go nowhere, they put in a bigger lead acid battery that isn't tied down at all (which has damaged some of the cables from flexing at the crimp), and they decided that leaving all the plastic trim clips off everywhere they went was acceptable.

That’s been my experience with a lot of those shops. I just removed a light bar off a truck that was “professionally” installed. It leaked water into the truck so bad it was ridiculous.

i don't trust any of them. for a while, i wanted to get into car audio, specifically for my love of speakers, and cars. but every shop i talked to outright refused to hire me because i "lacked experience". at least until i started making more doing jobs that would hire me, and then they were shocked when they finally offered me a job, and i told them what i'd need the starting pay to be to leave where i was.

during and just after highschool, i routinely visited the local car audio shops just to screw with them.

one time, i went in there for a specific harness, (pre-smart phones) i printed off the harness page from their supplier(metra usa, most common wiring harness supplier for most shops), and then went in to ask if they had that harness. they did, but then almost didn't sell it to me because they insisted that it didn't work with my car. it took another half hour of explaining to them where i got the printout, and how it would work before they'd sell it to me.

another time, i went in there for some sort of cable to go from my carpc to the amplifiers. they insisted that it is impossible to connect a computer directly to car amplifiers. i laughed loud enough to be irritating to everyone else in the store, and told them to come outside and i can prove that it works.

there's not a ton of money in car audio installation in the midwest...

Going to try making some bread dough for the first time today. I know, I know. I'm like 6 months late to the pandemic fad but whatever.
