This is the Perrin 3’ which is known to have more drone. Really all 3’ diameter piping exhaust tends to have more drone than most exhausts. The Perrin 2.5’ resonated is the one that is quieter and has a rep for having minimal amounts of drone.

Are you recirculated or Open dump? That can make a noise difference. I am open dump and seems it get super loud around the same RPM range as you.

The CSG MXP Touring exhaust has fixed all my issues. Absolutely no drone and large enough to work with my turbo system. I can't say enough about how great the exhaust is for me.

That exhaust is/was WAY too loud for me, and the drone was insane, especially on deceleration. Like headache after 15 minutes of driving loud. (whole setup is Ace CS 400 header, JDL Ultra Quiet front pipe, CSG MXP Touring) I added the quieter exhaust hangers and that helped, but I'd love to experience the level of quiet that everyone claims to have with this.

WOW.. I'm coming from the 3" Perrin and it was unbearable especially on decel. The MXP has been exceptional.

At this point I'm honestly wondering if mine came internally broken or missing something. Like maybe it was missing the packing or something. I don't know. I highly doubt anyone in my area has one for me to compare to so I have no idea where to go with this.

The level of loud comes from your front pipe. The Touring cat-back is about as quiet as it gets aside from one or two others out there. Drone is non-existent. I would have contacted CSG about it.

I swapped the stock front pipe and the ultra quiet a couple of times to test it. There was no difference. You're right, I should have contacted @CSG Mike.

Do you have a ***complete*** list of modifications? Clutch, bushings, mounts, etc., all inclusive.

It's possible you may have introduced a unique harmonic to your car.

Bilstein B6, Whiteline front control arm bushings, DT tune, cosworth air filter, someone's block off plate to "fix" the oil leak at the back of the engine, the ubiquitous shifter bushing that's sold under a bunch of names I think I got it from Kartboy, Kartboy short shifter, and some mud flaps.

That's everything.
