Nooo that's not what I'm referring to. That's a definite buzzing sound and is pretty harsh sounding - I'm referring to the increased exhaust volume under your feet. Aftermarket headers don't have the stock shields on them and you get a lot more noise directly to the floor board as well as reflecting off the undertray.

Your underpanel might be rubbing the header. Grab a hammer and make the parts that rub flat.

Ive read all 56 pages and something on the first post with the dyno results doesn't seem right to me. If you look at the comparision graph of the UEL header(blue Dotted) vs ACE 350(Red) on 91 it looks like there is still a huge torque dip for the UEL header. If that is infact a Tomei or Gruppe-s JDL UEL header most dynos I see have a nearly flat torque dip.

The main reason for my interest in the ACE 350 is the midrange gains compared to UEL (I have Gruppe-s) but wondering if they are bit exaggerated. I saw Justinco dyno with nice gains compared to his previous UEL in the midrange. Just wondering if there are more people who went from a UEL to ACE 350 have more before and after dynos then just Justin?

It seems to me that they keep mentioning the leading UEL + OP combo. This leads me to believe it was a OFT head/op combo being used as its popular and still has a tq dip. I've seen may dynos old and new even on MY17+ cars and that UEL in particular has a small dip. Never saw on any GruppeS or any of the headers you mentioned.

I think they were all limited in this test with factory exhaust after the op and the Ace would really shine with their 3" front pipe. Interestingly E85 seems to be very consistent even dyno to dyno always around 200-205whp

I have Gruppe-s, Invidia Cat FP, HKS legmax, OFT on 93. Im just trying to do more research if its worth it to jump up to the ace/delicious combo or just spend a little more on a personal tune and be close to the Ace #'s.

Justinco is the only other direct dyno comparison from a UEL to Ace and I like the huge gains in the middle and the very top end. Just looking for more honest reviews if it was worth the jump ~$1500+ more.

Was going to spend this summers funds on more lightness (lighter brakes, racing seats) already got CF driveshaft. But getting more TQ and Power has me thinking.

For me, it was worth it. The car feels very linear all the way to redline and strong in the mid range.

You should note how old those original dynos are

No doubt if you want a top header, ACE is a good choice. If you are building a no-compromise setup, then no doubt pull the trigger.

If you are on a budget and are debating cost, there are good headers out there that will get you most of those gains at half the cost. Or pick up a quality used header on the forum for 1/3rd the cost.

Most people are somewhere in-between, so decision has to be made to spend money on the best, or save money and get something that will still make your car feel really good, and put the rest of your budget towards other important things - seat time, FI, final drive upgrade, lighter wheels, custom tuning, quality dampers/coilovers, giant rear wing

Thanks for the replys. Not questioning how good they are from stock but how much better than a OFT UEL setup which I already have. Also already have light wheels/tire, coilovers, weight down to 2600, ect.

Again really looking for direct jumps from a tuned UEL header (preferably Gruppe-s/Tomei) to the Ace/delicious combo either seat of pants or dyno proof.

Vs stock and vs catless stock header, K&N drop in, Zeta Inlet tube, full 2.5 exhaust and OFT stage 2+.
