Hey, still trying to wrap my head around wheels and tire diameter, etc.

I'm keeping it at stock height since switching to winter tires and thinking of going with this for summer since I'd like a wider tire:

Wheel: Enkei EDR9 17x8 +38

Would a 235/40/17 tire be too wide or should I stagger 235 in back, 225 in front?

Thanks!

To answer the question, yes it will fit. But since hub bore size are off by 1.1mm , might cause vibration at high speed if not mounted flush.

But I don't see why you want to go that route .. it's not that much aggressive or better than your OEM wheels.

The ones I'm looking at I guess are the GTi 15 spoke. As I said just to be used as extra drift spares in rear.

255-245 = 10mm...so that's 5mm to the inside and 5mm to the outside.

My wheel is 18x9.5 with overall with is 10.5". Will there be any chance that a 255 is wider than 10.5" when inflated? Never have experienced measuring them.

Are all wheels designed to have the same overall width? Which is 1" more than the actual width.

Thanks

So I've been looking at 18" wheels... Finally found something in the style and price range I was looking for (I was looking at BBS wheels but damn too expensive!)

http://mirowheels.com/portfolio/type-112/

18"x8.5" +35... That offset seems a bit low. I'm running stock suspension and would like to run 245's at least for tread width without rolling the fenders or having rubbing issues. I MIGHT go with a mild drop eventually in a year or so (.5" STI pink springs if anything) but for now just stock height.

Will those fit without rolling or is the offset just too low? I think the rear is ok, not sure about the front.

Hey all, please help a tire newb.

I'm ordering one of these two sets. Will I have any issues on stock suspension?

RPF1 (17x7 +42). 225/45/17

RPF1 (17x8 +35). 225/45/17

Thanks!
