Smile UEL headers for BRZ

Hey guys
So I have a limited BRZ and want to put uel headers on it before christmas. I currently have an invidia n1 catback and a perrin cai. I was wondering if there are any upgrades/mods i have to do along with the headers or if i can just install them.
I also plan to tune it soon after headers, im thinking of going OFT. Any suggestions for the notorious Scooby rumble + deep sound?

You can certainly just bolt and go but to get all the "benefits" of a header, you need a tune. If you decide to go with a catless header, you will need to deal with the resulting CEL, which the OFT will take care of. I currently have the Tomei UEL header with the OFT stage 2 tune and it really wakes the car up. Are you in Sparks, MD?

If your going the oft route then look at the oft plus open flash uel header combo, tunes optimised for that header included and you get a discount for package deal.

any catless header is going to be pretty loud with an N1 catback though,

maybe read the Basic Bolt on Mods link below

I have the Tsudo UEL header which I use with an OFT stage 2 tune. I haven't had it dyno'd or anything so I can't tell you if it's better or worse than the OFH, but it does register nicely on the butt dyno along with the OFT tune. The header is only $360, and if you email them, they will likely honor a 20% off coupon that just ended 'TSUDO20'.

There are sound clips and pics in my first post:

I want to do headers rather than bolt ons, im just unsure of the whole process. Im new to this whole car mod thing. Theres a mod shop that can tune in town but idk which way to go with it.
How does the tomei uel sound? I dont really mind how loud it will be, i actually want it to be louder and hopefully deep scooby rumble with no rasp. How does your setup sound?
And no, im in sparka NV

A header (not headers) is a bolt on. I posted a sound clip of what mind sounds like in my prev post. Yours will obviously sound much louder, and probably raspy.

I really don't think there will be much difference between any of the vendors UEL headers as far as sound goes (as long as you are comparing catless vs catless) Here's my setup which is stock exhaust except for the Tomei UEL header, TRD drop in filter and the OFT stage 2 tune. Cold start is loud due to the tune (heating up the cat in the front pipe faster) but other than that, it's pretty quiet. Halfway thru the clip are some revs so you can hear the "rumble".

I'm sure if you search long enough, you can find a clip of the UEL header and N1 catback combo.

Parts that can be easily bolted on with a ratchet/wrench etc.

Edit: Sorry, I explained what a bolt-on is, not what the difference is. There is no difference because a header is a bolt-on.

For example, a header.

You know, I'm not exactly sure where the line is anymore. Basically anything is a bolt-on the way I look at things.
