Jackson racing said they have been working with Kpower and will be releasing a SC kit for the kpower kit very soon!

Haven't updated this in awhile, but I went to my first hill climb last weekend and did a write up if anyone is interested. Car/motor is running great other than some simple exhaust issues.

Car looks great! Since you are k24 swapped, have you experienced any driveline vibrations with the single piece aluminum driveshaft? I’m wondering if they worked out driveline vibe with better pinion angles with the k24 kit.

Also, what side mirrors are those? They look great.

I have not had any issues with vibration yet, or feel that vibrations are so bad its undrivable or anything. I had solid transmounts when I had the FA20 but since went back to rubber, and I would say the NVH is about the same between semi solid FA20 and rubber mounted K24. I also have a raised and solid mounted rear subframe so that helps with the driveshaft angle for sure.

The mirrors are carbon no name rip offs of something, I got off ebay for $40! lol

Why did you mount the headlights to the hood? Wouldn't it be more aerodynamic and just as functional inside of the OEM lens?

Short answer is because SCCA told me I had to have headlights to run that class, and that was the easiest way to do it.

long answer is because I built by own custom tube radiator and "headlight" mounting setup to run the radiator in a different position. I had to gut the stock headlight housing to get them fit and therefore cannot run OEM headlights anymore. Which at the time I didn't expect I would need headlights anymore but then SCCA's stupid classing rules came along and forced me to come up with something. We needed headlights for our champcar car anyway so it kinda worked out.

Ah so that was just temporary. If you need a more permanent solution, you could mount the LED pods behind the lens of the OE headlights similar to what some Formula Drift teams do.

yeah I had considered it but those brackets made it real easy but I may go back and do that!

I think this will work out.

Looks sleek! For your use it'll be great, as they are still "functioning" headlights

Haven't Updated this page in a while...I have mainly been doing some refinements and planning. After the last hillclimb and my exhaust couldn't keep up with the bumps and fell off I finally took it to a professional and had it welded up. I can add a "laguna pipe" off this if I needed to.

Then I went to VIR and had some major overheating issues with coolant getting to 240 and my intake temps getting to 150 and pulling timing, so rereading some books on race car tuning I came up with a secondary inlet for the radiator to get it more air that didn't go through the intercooler while still "splitting" the high pressure air in the front between the two.

I also designed a little air box towards the back of the car to try and keep the hot air in the engine bay away from the supercharger inlet. Made a little gurney flap on the tailing edge of the hood to try and pull any hot air out from between the hood and cowl as well.

On the subject of heat management I threw about 250$ worth of thermal management products at the engine bay and it really seemed to help!

My next track day at Roebling race way I saw coolant temps never get over 200, oil temps were actually a little too cool with the 10w40 and 70psi of oil pressure. INtake temps peaked at 125 so a dramatic drop and timing never got pulled.

Redid my DiBond flat floor and its very secure now as well. Hopefully this is the last revision of this, maybe a lighter material in the future but it didn't give me any problems at RRR.

Last thing I did was make a idle pulley tensioner thing to keep the SC pulley from slipping at peak.
