The sti mount has a very thick - albeit flexible - layer of urethane, which I imagine is soft enough to civilize the cabin but firm enough to provide consistently smooth shifting.
That’s good to know. Did some of the rattles you were experiencing go away, fixed, or just tuned out? Thinking about going with these mounts.

yeah they did. I guess they could have been attributed to the old oem mount. The whole transmission area tunnel is much more "cultured" now sound-wise

Finished what the previous owner started. '13 FR-S with '17+ BRZ front clip. He had on the BRZ front bumper with GT86 headlights lol.

Added the oem brz headlights, leveled them to my liking since FR-S doesn't have the leveling feature, and added replica STi lip.

I previously had a STI and bought an OEM sti lip for that car. It was $400. Never again am I spending $400 on a piece of plastic that will get beat up anyway.

Also installed a homelink mirror. Learned through these forums that the wiring is in the headliner.. and to my surprise it was. Easiest homelink install ever.

Bumper sag is definitely there, and the corner side marker clips are broken

Somewhere in Googleland there is a video on using a ziptie to fix the marker lights. I did it and it's simple and it works. Bumper sag can be fixed with those quick release buttons attachments.

So are you badged Subaru on the front and Scion on the back? I hope so because I would get a kick out of seeing that on the road.

It was badged as toyota in the back, subaru in the front.

From what I've been reading, the toyota badge doesn't fit on the indent of the brz bumper?

So I'll either keep it like that, debadge the rear (don't like the holes though) or just go full subaru, lol.

Oh but think of the exchanges at Kia dealers

"Hi I saw one of your sports cars the other day and would like more info"
"Oh yes sir the Stinger is right over here"
"No not that one. The small two door coupe"
"You mean the Forte? They don't make those anymore"
"No I mean the lower sleeker coupe"
"I have no clue what you are talking about"
"Well it clearly said KIA on the badge"

knowing kia dealers near me(the nearest is famous for the "lost the keys" game), i'd park a block away at the hardware store, they'd find a way to sell the car out of that lot, and i'd come out to an empty parking spot.
