Hi TLDR. Sorry.. so I also have this issue. I have creaking noise only if I release my clutch. What could be the issue? Hope it is not TOB.

You'd have to take it to the dealer for them to inspect and see. Take it ASAP. I dismissed it as just a spring lubrication issue or something and didn't take it sooner (than 52000 miles). Now my dealer is stating it is "simply lubrication issue" (not even bothering inspecting it before stating that), and giving me a $500 bill just to lubricate it because they have to lower the whole transmission (BS). Their words: it is a wear and tear maintenance issue, your cost.

TOB usually shows symptoms when the clutch is pushed IN, not OUT. So this is probably just a lubrication issue, as noted above.

Mine squeaked/crunched about a year ago, and gets worse when warm. Dealer serviced it,found nothing. Took it again a few months later, same problem and they lubed something in the pedal assembly and the problem went away. Now the problem has returned, and the dealer ordered these parts in the clutch pedal assembly to remedy the issue, all free under the 36k warranty.

That's the assist spring assembly. Won't help.

Actually it did seem to help and the problem is gone. They replaced the spring and some of the pedal assembly and the squeaky crunch is gone, although it is getting cold here and the pedal squeaks/crunches when it is warmer and after driving a bit. The new spring was also pretty lubed up I noticed. I really was surprised they replaced all of this for free, parts included, since I was at 36k miles with an aftermarket clutch/turbo but I showed them that I had the issue before the aftermarket clutch and turbo was installed and the car was stock, so it was not a cause of a new clutch or throw out bearing.
Run to a dealer and get them to replace or lube the clutch spring and assist rod and bushing under warranty and it should fix it!
