Smile Please help me decide on a cat back system

So I just got my brz and I am in the market of a cat back system
I got an offer for Tomei catback with a Tomei front pipe
Also an invidia n1 dual tip (not burnt)

The invidia n1 is $100 cheaper than the Tomei set up
Both have dents but the Tomei has a small dent on the tip so will need to figure a way to hammer the tip back to “O” shape, anyone has similar problem where the tip of the exhaust is dent/bent? How did you guys fix it?

I like both of their sounds
Don’t mind the drone on both either
Like both dual and single exit style (will probably buy the hole cover for it)

Is Tomei a lot louder than invidia n1? Just cat back, not planning to put on the front pipe yet.

If you guys were in my shoes which one would you guys pick?

I'd recommend taking some time to read the forums, there's a wealth of information here. It's not really possible for someone else to tell you what exhaust to buy, because it's partly personal preference. I will say though that the Invidia N1 is one of the worst catbacks you can buy for this platform, and it's popular primarily because it's cheap. A good exhaust doesn't drone, so saying "you don't mind the drone" isn't really a useful position to take. You will mind eventually, and so will your passengers.

Read a bit. If you don't want a loud car neither of those are good choices. So much drone and they are loud.

Plenty of choices just do some research

Welcome to our forum, Kcc-Breeze -

I can't help you choose an aftermarket exhaust -

I put a Nameless axle back muffler on my 2013 FR-S and have been happy with it.

Happy hunting!

N1 brah, it's the only exhaust mod I have, plenty loud, but no flames obvi. Theres a reason it's so iconic. Best imho.

As others have mentioned N1 and Tomei are both super loud-- if you like the cannon/canister style look but don't want it to be toooooo loud or drony I really like my HKS Spec-L. It's also ~20lbs lighter than the stock catback.

I just did a full review with video & sound clips if you're interested: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135744

I'd still recommend you go hear some in person at a meet if you can, because everyone hears exhausts a bit differently and has their own tastes. We can all tell you different options that you should check out, but we def can't pick your exhaust for ya lol

That being said I'd pick the Tomei out of those two
