Seems every time I do an engine mod my mileage goes down, but the fun factor goes way up. I'm at 16 mpg on corn fuel and the car is a blast to drive. I wish I had a better vocabulary to describe how much fun I am having with this car.

I’m extremely happy with the fuel efficiency of my FR-S, I average between 32-34 mpg. And that’s during the summer with air con running. With some spirited acceleration here and there. Using premium fuel is the only downside, but it’s a small price difference here.

I'm right around 27 mpg according to the dash, don't care enough to do actual math and figure things out. I know it costs $50 Canadian to fill up, and that gets me to work for 2 weeks. And I have fun for that part of the day.

The twins can be surprisingly good on fuel mileage, especially if you have a 6 spd manual. I haven’t driven the auto version enough to know how that does. If I’m on the highway cruising along in 6th gear, and I keep the rpms low it’s surprising how well it does. Totally makes up for the times I rev it out.

The auto has better gearing at the top for cruising. Over 150,000 miles I've averaged @33MPG.

That’s a really nice benefit of the auto then, I kind of wish they would make 6th gear for the manual a better cruising gear. 1-5 is what most people will use for acceleration anyway. But I’m not an engineer so I’m not sure about the logistics behind it. I strongly considered the FR-S with an auto, I enjoyed how it drove. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
