Invidia R400 or N2 ?
So currently I’m buying a exhaust and debating between the r400 or N2 I know that N2 is a bit quieter then N1 but I honestly don’t know what that r400 will sound as a catback with half of it been stock (same would be for N2) I don’t want it to still sound like stock otherwise it’s a waste of money.
So any of you have experienced the two exhaust or could shed some light into these two exhaust. Thanks |

Can I recommend a different exhaust altogether or do you insist upon Invidia?

I recently installed the r400 and I am a big fan of it! I love the sound at cold starts but it doesn't wake up the neighbors, it has a great tone that makes you want to shift, never gets to loud at city speeds, and it does have a loud drone when cruising at autobahn speeds (~85 - 120 mph).

Let's start here. Are you planning to do any other exhaust modifications?

Consider your long term goals when buying a catback. If you plan to add a catless header then go with something quiet like a Perrin 2.5".
Otherwise buy based on the sound you like. catback systems don't add any real performance gains. I opted for a Corsa system which which sounds great, but is designed around a otherwise stock exhaust. Last edited by RToyo86; 12-19-2018 at 08:36 AM. |

If you're gonna get a header plan accordingly. I'd recommend a Dezod catback, Perrin, or another suitcase style muffler as they are the most quiet.

If you are planning on getting a header later than just get the Q300 or Perrin 2.5 resonated unless you want loud than the N1 would be the way to go and it will drone too

I personally LOVE how the Ark Grip sounds with aftermarket catless headers. No drone, and a deep and aggressive sound when you're up in the higher rev ranges! (Stock FP & OP when I had that set up) If you had to pick between the two, I would get the R400 because I like how it looks/sounds. |
