Rescheduled ETA.. -__-
I really hate that I have been given 3 different ETA's now. First ETA was 5/10, then they said 5/17, now it's 5/25 for sure? They do seem really apologetic about the mix up, but i keep being teased! Now my ETA is this Friday 5/25, and the manager said she wants to throw a release party for me but doesn't know how much they'll let her spend! Haha! I love when I walk around the dealership known as the "FR-S Guy". At least they've given me a loaner car since last week (free of charge), until my FR-S comes in . Anyways, has this happened to anyone else? Changed ETA dates and maybe compensations like the loaner car and/or release party?

Release party is happening for every First 86. I know the one at Courtesy was delayed a bit (maybe not rescheduled but they wanted the car on the showroom for a week before giving it to the owner).

Wow! Are you a first 86er? Cause this sounds like the best treatment any dealership has given anyone of us. My dealerships just keep saying, "according to our computers it shouldve been here by now." thats it! They gave you a loaner car?! This dealership deserves 10 stars on their name! lol

I stopped at the dealership yesterday and they said they get their first car in on Thursday, so I would imagine that the 25th will, indeed, be the correct delivery day. Nonetheless, don't get too sad, you get to enjoy it over a three day weekend while I must wait until June to get mine.

I'd tell them to screw off on the party and just give you the damn car.

They don't yet have the car to give me haha! They receive them on Friday, meaning they'll throw a release party on the same day they get it. It's all going to happen in one day and I bring the car home after it's all said and done. No test drives no showing it to other potential customers or anything. Just me and my FR-S

Nope. It happened for many, but not all. Further from the West you got, the rarer a "party" became.

My ETA was between the 17th and the 21st. Today would be the 22nd. Texted my dealer today and he said it was rescheduled for the 24th. Similar story no?

I'd love it if my dealer threw me a party! I totally understand the opportunity to get others to come see the car and get excited about it; it's all part of the advertising game! Besides, wouldn't you want other people to see the car, get excited about it, and go buy one after seeing how happy you are to get yours? And then get free swag? I can't argue with that!
