UK work
So.. I'm thinking after finishing Uni and receiving my degree in Diagnostic radiology.. I want to find work in the UK somewhere. However... it seems like it's not a good time to go anywhere.
How is the employment rate in the UK? London area? Birmingham? Whales? etc. Things looking decent..? Crappy?

Unless your Highly qualified, with lots of relevent experience in a career that has massive shortfalls of staffing, then forget it......
There are millions out of work in the UK. I know of loads of people with Degrees/Masters that are effectivly unemployed (Including Medecine) Purely because they don't have sufficient work experience. Employers want people who have been doing the job for at least a few years. Sorry |

I dunno about that Andy... The South West seems to be doing quite well. Using me and the people I know as an example....

IT for me dude. My mates are either into IT or trucking.. one requires slightly less uni training and experience! they're the only ones I can speak of from experience though, I admit. But there's doesn't seem to be too much of a shortage of jobs in my general area.

I'm a IT system/network admin so fortunately there are demands for these types of skill sets....jobs are easier to find, challenge is negotiating for salary because there are many factors involved, well for me it is....
