Actually, his input had A LOT, cuz no other engineers and some of higher up couldn't say much. Cuz he was assigned by President Akio, so literally skipped several levels of ppl. He also gave a lot of credit to other staffs when needed and take most of the blame or negatives by himself. Well, it's part of been CE, but at least he didn't blame others. When you guys see and even read the next gen 86/BRZ, you guys will beg Tada-san to come back... cuz atm, it's a fucking joke. |

He may have had input in the 86/brz twin project and I commend his work...
But from the Supra project forward I don't believe a word Tada-San says, he's a giant mouth piece and a yes man. I feel like his roll has been diminished to nothing more than ceremonial because of all the hype he gained from the 86 project. It's a shame really if the 2nd gen becomes a bloated eclipse. I know the joke was made earlier but I wouldn't be surprised the 3rd gen BRZ/86 becomes an electric crossover. |

I'm seriously hope I'm wrong. oh btw, next gen 86 is suppose to be released Summer 2021, so better get it before that. Quote:
He took his personal time out to come out US to meet some 86 and Supra owners this week. He could of say fuck it and flew home to Japan after Daytona and keep playing Pokemon Go. You tell me which brand and Chief Engineer do that. I can tell you right now, you won't see anymore Tada-san like person for PR. It'll be all Tomoyama-san and that's pretty much it. We won't find out who worked on what and so on. I can promise you, Tomoyama-san is very knowledgeable person, but he didn't work on any of sports car GR have brought it out. He's just PR person. |

I got tired of his blind defense of the Supra, the fake vents that he said are functional for example. Lets not pretend he's the heart and soul of Toyota's sports car efforts. I would much rather TMGbh take over and represent Toyota's interest with Subaru. |

The fact it's staying RWD in some form or fashion is probably a stroke of luck. I imagine it's gaining some significant weight and size. |

Ah~ fakes vents... Love those ppl complain cuz you can't just pop it out and make it work, it must be fake. Even though it's been used by GRMN Supra to race in VLN 24hr races. You actually have to make it work, but well, it's not connected to anything and Toyota doesn't provide any parts, it must be for the "looks"... SMH I'll admit, door vents doesn't make sense, but I'm no engineer. Rather make TMGbH take over and represent Toyota? ...was gonna say something, but don't think you'll get it... cuz I don't get half of inside political stuff one insider told me. All I know is they're not looking good atm. |

Vehicles almost never get better in the second generation these days. Trying hard to think of anything since the late 80's that actually improved from a weight reduction and handling perspective in the second gen... absolutely nothing is coming to mind. Sometimes things get corrected in later gens down the line though... can't wait for the 4th gen 86! LOL

If you count the Supra nameplate as its own generations, then I guess you could technically say the Supra improved from the MK3 to the MK4. Lighter, slightly better cornering, and an improved block from the M to JZ series. Yeah, nothing else is really coming to mind though. |

tbh I don't wanna be right. In full honesty, I want next gen 86 to success... but atm brands are not listening to the right consumers and let the money talk more than enthusiast's voice.
